Bengaluru Hanuman Chalisa row: Tejasvi Surya requests protestors to go back

On March 17, a mob attacked a shopkeeper over allegedly playing Hanuman Chalisa during ‘azaan’. A Hindu organisation held a protest in Bengaluru on March 19 over the Hanuman Chalisa row. Meanwhile, a clash erupted between Hindu organisation and Police during the protest. BJP Yuva Morcha National President Tejasvi Surya also joined the protest on March 19. Later, BJP MP Surya urged protestors to quit the demonstration after a clash with Bengaluru Police after he was detained. For the unversed,a Bengaluru shopkeeper was  allegedly beaten for playing loud music at the time of Azaan (Islamic call to prayer). The shopkeeper claims he was playing Hanuman Chalisa at this shop in central Bengaluru when the assault took place.

As India celebrates its 75th Republic Day today, a grand display of military prowess, culture and women empowerment was seen in India’s Republic Day parade 2024. India's 'Nari Shakti' was on display as women soldiers marched down the Kartavya Path on the occasion of Republic Day 2024. Also in the parade, for the first time ever, the parade was being heralded by over 100 women artists playing Indian musical instruments in a grand display of women empowerment in India. Earlier in the ceremony, President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the National Flag at Kartavya Path. The ceremony was followed by the National anthem and a 21 Gun salute. ‘Boycott Maldives’ trends | Maldives MP draws flak downplaying Lakshadweep

PM Modi’s focus in Lakshadweep is to uplift the lives of the people through enhanced development. The Central Government plans to make Lakshadweep a major tourist hub like Maldives. Akash Weapon System: IAF displays power of India’s Akash Air Defence Missile

In a big boost to Air Defence System, India has strongly demonstrated the firepower of its Akash surface-to-air (SAM) weapon system. With a single-firing unit, the Akash weapon system simultaneously engaged and destroyed 4 unmanned targets during recent Air Force Exercise Astrashakti 2023. As per officials, 4 targets coming from same direction in close formation were split to attack their defence assets from multiple directions simultaneously. With this, India has become 1st to demonstrate capability of engaging 4 targets simultaneously at such ranges by command guidance using single firing unit. Notably, Akash has been deployed by the Indian Air Force and the Indian Army at key locations to counter threats. The current firing was done from the system, which was ordered in September 2019 as a repeat order from the IAF. The Akash weapon system is also one of the indigenous defence systems that have bagged orders from international customers. Notably, it is also being constantly upgraded by DRDO scientists involved in it and they may get more orders from Southeast Asia and Middle East.

Emraan mentioed that "After the lockdown, I got a call from the casting director Shanoo Sharma, 'Would you like to have a coffee with Maneesh Sharma'. I reached there, and he asked, we are looking for casting an antagonist for 'Tiger 3'." He added that it was not initially easy for him to accept the role as there is a preconceived notion about an antagonist. Emraan is known for playing romantic roles and playing this character gave him an opportunity to show a different side of himself as an actor. When asked about the kind of roles he is looking at and the reason for being selective in choosing his projects, he said, "I have been getting similar kinds of roles. But after a time there is a saturation point and you feel like changing your on-screen image. That is what happened with me and thus I became selective when it comes to choosing projects."
