Constructed at the cost of Rs.18,000 crores, Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL), also known as Atal Setu was inaugurated today by PM Modi. An infrastructure marvel never seen before in India - now a reality for Mumbaikars. This 21.8-kilometre-long Mumbai Trans Harbour Link bridge would help cover the distance between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai in just 20 minutes which otherwise takes 2 hours. More than 5000 workers and engineers worked every day for the completion of the project since work began in mid-2018. Many of the workers and engineers had to take an hour-long boat ride every day to their work site. MTHL inauguration will take place today in Mumbai by PM Narendra Modi. PM Modi inaugurated Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL), also known as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewari - Nhava Sheva Atal Setu in Maharashtra. Atal Setu is the longest bridge in India and also the longest sea bridge in the country. It will provide faster connectivity to Mumbai International Airport and Navi Mumbai International Airport and will also reduce the travel time from Mumbai to Pune, Goa and South India. Traditional dances were performed at Navi Mumbai's Uran ahead of the MTHL inauguration of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewari - Nhava Sheva Atal Setu today. This 21.8-kilometre long Mumbai Trans Harbour Link bridge would help cover the distance between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai in just 20 minutes which otherwise takes 2 hours.

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri announced a new oil discovery in the country. Hardeep Singh Puri said that the first oil was extracted yesterday 30 kilometres off the coast of Kakinada in the Krishna Godavari Basin. Hardeep Singh Puri said, “30 kilometres off the coast of Kakinada in the Krishna Godavari Basin, the first oil was extracted yesterday. Work started on this in 2016-17, then there were some delays due to COVID, but I'm sure that out of the 26 wells there, 4 wells are already operational. We will not only have gas also in a very short period but by May and June, we hope to be able to produce 45,000 barrels per day, which will be 7 per cent of our total crude oil production and 7 per cent of our gas production.” Narendra Taneja said, “This is a huge step. They first conduced a search operation in deep sea near Krishna-Godavari Basin and then started production. We have now started 47,000 barrels of ONGC production from there. In future, it will be 75000 barrels.” The place where the oil is extracted is 30 kilometres off the coast of Kakinada in the Krishna Godavari basin. Phase 3, leading to peak oil and gas production from the basin, is already underway and likely to be over in June 2024. The 98/2 project is likely to increase Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC)'s total Oil and Gas production by 11 per cent and 15 per cent respectively. India, the world's third-biggest oil importer and consumer, is dependent on crude oil from various sources in the global market to meet its domestic demand.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the newly made Amrit Bharat train at Ayodhya Dham Junction on December 30. Amrit Bharat train has better acceleration due to push-pull technology. The vehicle accelerates quickly and also stops quickly which helps in saving time wherever there are curves and bridges on the way. It is equipped with semi-permanent couplers which eliminate the scope of shocks in the train. Charging points are provided near every seat. With target of 4,500 Vande Bharat trains by 2047 underway, PM Modi is all set to flag-off Amrit Bharat Train. Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on December 25 visited New Delhi Railway station to inspect the newly built train. The Amrit Bharat Express train looks magnificent in the colour of orange and grey. Vaishnaw boarded the train and took stock of the advance technologies in the passenger vehicle. This comes when the government is already on a mission to run 4,500 Vande Bharat trains by 2047. Notably, both, Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat trains are part of PM Modi’s 'Make in India' Initiative.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 20 while addressing a public meeting in Rajasthan’s Pali, guaranteed relief in fuel price in Rajasthan that if BJP is voted to power in the state. He said that prices of petrol and diesel would be reviewed to provide relief to the poor and middle-class people. PM Modi in Rajasthan said, "...In the neighbouring states of Rajasthan, there is a BJP government... There, petrol is Rs 97 per litre... But the Congress government in Rajasthan sells petrol at higher prices...I give a guarantee that after the BJP government is formed, the prices of petrol and diesel will be reviewed... This will give relief to the poor and middle-class people...."
