Money Laundering Probe: NCP's Rohit Pawar summoned by ED, Supriya Sule reacts

NCP-Sharad Pawar faction leader Rohit Pawar was summoned by the ED to appear before the agency today in connection with the Maharashtra State Cooperative (MSC) Bank money laundering probe. Rohit Pawar reached the ED office along with NCP working president Supriya Sule in Mumbai. Before entering the ED office, Rohit Pawar touched Supriya Sule’s feet and took her blessings. Supriya Sule said, "If we have not done anything wrong, there is no question of coming under the pressure of investigations...". She also said, “"Investigation must be transparent and fair. I have full faith in the ED and I am sure they will hear Rohit's side. We are going to completely cooperate with all the agencies because we have nothing to hide."

Israel Embassy Blast: Delhi police intensifies probe after blast near in Delhi

On December 26th, the Delhi Fire Service received a call about a blast near the Israel Embassy in Chanakyapuri area. Delhi Police top officials, NIA team and Forensic Team soon reached the spot and investigated the matter. Israel Embassy confirmed that around 5:10 pm there was a blast at close proximity to the embassy. The Delhi Police has intensified its probe into a low intensity Israel embassy blast that occurred near the Israel Embassy here and sources said two youths were caught on camera walking on the road close to the spot shortly before the explosion. The police have also beefed up security in the national capital after Tuesday's blast near the embassy in the Chanakyapuri diplomatic enclave, an official said.

BJP leader Kirit Somaiya who was allegedly seen in a compromising position in viral video that surfaced on the internet, demanded a thorough investigation in the matter clarifying that he is innocent in the case. In a letter penned to the Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis dated July 17, Somaiya urged Fadnavis, who also holds the Home Ministry, to launch a thorough probe into the matter over the authenticity of the viral video. Somaiya took it to his official Twitter handle and posted a picture of the letter. He stated that he never abused any woman and requested Fadnavis to launch a probe in the matter. Mumbai Congress Chief Prof. Varsha Gaikwad took it to her Twitter and expressed her dissatisfaction over the BJP leader's alleged viral video. Taking a dig at Somaiya on being exposed publically, she also slammed the saffron party over their 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' initiative. Such incidents prove that the slogan is 'Betiyon Ko Bhajpa Netaon Se Bachao,' said Gaikwad in a tweet. In a stunning and controversial development, a video allegedly featuring Kirit Somaiya surfaced online, sending shockwaves throughout the political landscape on Monday evening. Odisha Train Accident: CBI arrests three railway employees in Balasore mishap

Days after the tragic Balasore triple train accident, CBI arrested three railways officials on July 07. The central probe agency said that the accused have been arrested under sections 304, 201 of CrPC. The arrested railways employees have been identified as Arun Kumar Mahanta, senior section engineer; Amir Khan, section engineer; technician Pappu Kumar. CBI in its investigation found that the accused railway employees were also involved in the tampering of evidence. The arrested accused will be presented in the competent court and CBI will demand custody. The Railway Board had recommended a CBI probe into the accident following which on June 06. The CBI has already registered a First Information Report (FIR) in this matter. The horrific incident involving Coromandel Express, Shalimar Express and goods train claimed 291 lives and injured over 1000.
