Crime series 'Poacher' is all set to stream on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video from February 23. Directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Richie Mehta, it stars Nimisha Sajayan, Roshan Mathew and Dibyendu Bhattacharya. In a media interaction, Richie Mehta said, “It is literally about wildlife crime fighters in India. People who are basically motivated to do everything they can in their power and more to save what they believe as a planet.” While being asked about his performance in the film, DEV D actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya replied, “Acting also should be like a living being. On Wednesday evening, the makers of Siddharth Anand's latest directorial 'Fighter' hosted a special screening at YRF Studios in Mumbai. The event appeared to be an intimate gathering, with a select few celebrities gracing the screening. The Indian Air Force's An-32 aircraft, which went missing over the Bay of Bengal in 2016, has been discovered seven years later. On July 22, 2016, the airplane had inexplicably disappeared over the Bay of Bengal, carrying 29 people. The airplane search and rescue operation grew to be one of India's largest. On August 1, 2016, it was discovered that the aircraft lacked an underwater location beacon, and the rescue effort was called off on September 15, 2016. The National Institute of Ocean Technology employed an AUV to identify a missing aircraft on the seabed about 310 kilometers off the coast of Chennai. The search was carried out at a depth of 3400 m with various payloads. The search images were scrutinized and found to be conforming with an An-32 aircraft.

The Ganeshotsav mandals in Mumbai celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi 2023 in a significant manner. This year, Mumbai residents welcomed the tallest Lord Ganesha idol of 45-foot. The 11th lane of Khetwadi (Khetwadi 11th Galli as it is locally called) has the tallest Lord Ganesha idol so far in Mumbai. The Khetwadi 11th Galli Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal was founded in 1962. This year the mandal is celebrating its 62nd year. The 45-foot towering idol of ‘Mumbaicha Maharaja’, known as ‘Khetwadi cha Lambodara’, can be seen in the Indra Dev avatar. Ace Indian athlete Dutee Chand, the current national 100 m record holder, has received a four-year ban from the National Anti-Doping Agency for failing an out-of-competition doping test for Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators (SARMs) in December last year. Reacting to it, Indian sprinter Dutee Chand on August 19 appealed the state government, Central Government and NADA to spare her this time. She further added that she has given several doping tests earlier where she was never detected positive.
