The first phase of Lok Sabha Elections is all set to take place on 19th of April. Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, all the party and party members are busy campaigning in full swing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a roadshow Rajasthan’s Dausa on April 12. The roadshow holds an important move of the BJP to repeat the Assembly elections results stats. A massive crowd holding the flags of BJP turned up for the roadshow to show their support for PM Modi. Polling for all 25 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan will be held in two phases on April 19 and April 26 results will be declared on June 4.

The Home Voting for first phase of Lok Sabha election began in Rajasthan on April 5. The home voting facility announced by Election Commission of India has been extended to senior citizens above 85 years of age and voters with over 40 percent disability. In Jaipur Lok Sabha constituency, a total of 3,632 eligible voters, including 3,134 voters above 85 years of age and 498 voters with more than 40 percent disability, have applied for home voting facility. In Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha constituency, a total of 3, 971 eligible voters, including 3,130 voters above 85 years of age and 841 voters with more than 40 percent disability, have applied for home voting facility. In the first phase home voting facility will be provided till April 13 from morning 7 AM to 6 PM. Under the second phase home voting facility will be provided for absentee voters on 15th April and 16th April. Special polling teams have been assigned for Home voting facility. Each polling team includes two polling officers, one micro observer, one policeman and one videographer.

During a public rally in Rajasthan's Churu on April 4th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi revisited the memory of the 'Balakot airstrike' before reciting his renowned poem "Saugandh mujhe is mitti ki, main desh nahi mitne dunga." He reminisced about being in Churu at the time of the airstrike on February 26th. “When I came to Churu on 26th February 2019, at that time the country had carried out an air strike in Balakot. We had taught a lesson to the terrorists. At that time I had said I would not let Mother India bow down...When our army carried out surgical strikes and air strikes, Congress and the people of this 'Ghamandia' alliance were asking for proof. Dividing the country and insulting our army is the identity of the Congress Party”, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A massive train accident took place near Ajmer today. Passengers sustained minor injuries after Sabarmati Express collided with a goods train on March 18. The incident occurred at midnight near Madar station in Ajmer district. However, no casualties have been reported so far in the incident. Several passengers sustained minor injuries and least four coaches and the engine of Sabarmati Express train got derailed. The reason behind the train derailment is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, the rescue teams and railway officials reached the incident spot. Due to the incident, several trains have been diverted to different routes. Watch video for more information.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the leaders of 30 countries witnessed the 'Bharat Shakti' Tri-Service Exercise. The Indian Army, Indian Navy and Air Force performed a firepower demonstration in Pokhran, Rajasthan. The war exercise displayed the firepower capability of indigenous weapons and the operational readiness of all three services of the Defence forces. The Bharat Shakti exercise, in line with the Aatmanirbharata initiative, showcased India's defence prowess through realistic multi-domain operations. BJP has faced a major setback in Haryana. BJP leader and Lok Sabha MP from Hisar, Brijendra Singh joined Congress on March 10 ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Brijendra joined the party in the presence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Brijendra took to X and wrote that he resigned because of compelling political reasons. Brijendra Singh also said that there is a possibility of other BJP members joining Congress in Haryana. "I have resigned from the primary membership of BJP, due to compelling political reasons. I extend gratitude to the party, National President Sh. JP Nadda, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, & Sh Amit Shah for giving me the opportunity to serve as the Member of Parliament for Hisar," he wrote on X.

In a major break-through in the high-profile murder of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, Rajasthan Police on December 06 has identified two shooters who were involved in the killing. The two assailants have been identified as Rohit Rathore Makrana and Nitin Fauji, who hails from Mahendragarh, Haryana. Meanwhile, the situation in Rajasthan continued to remain tense as the cities witnessed massive protests. After the Karni Sena called for Rajasthan, massive protests were seen in various cities including capital Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur. Soon after the news broke out, Rohit Godara, close aide of Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi took responsibility for the gruesome murder. Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, was shot dead by three assailants in Jaipur on Dec 05. The murder sparked outrage among the Rajput community, which called for a state-wide bandh today.
