Speaking exclusively to NDTV about the recent violence in Assam that left over 70 people dead and lakhs displaced, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said it would be unfair to compare the situation in the state with the 2002 Gujarat riots. "Gujarat situation was sponsored by the state. They took months to control. We controlled the situation within a week." He said.
