After the cyclonic storm made landfall in Gujarat’s coastal areas, large-scale devastations were witnessed. The high-velocity winds uprooted trees and damaged several vehicles and houses. Electricity has been snapped in several cities of the state. The damage may have a long-lasting impact on the communities. Normal life will remain disrupted in the coastal region of Gujarat for the upcoming days.

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully conducted the autonomous test landing mission of the Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV) at the Aeronautical Test Range (ATR) in Karnataka's Chitradurga on April 2. A statement issued by ISRO said, "India achieved it. ISRO joined by DRDO successfully conducted the Reusable Launch Vehicle Autonomous Landing Mission (RLV LEX) at the Aeronautical Test Range (ATR), Chitradurga, Karnataka in the early hours on April 2, 2023." According to the statement, the RLV took off at 7:10 am by a Chinook Helicopter of the Indian Air Force. The release of RLV was autonomous. Then using the Integrated Navigation, Guidance & control system, the RLV completed an autonomous landing on the ATR at 7:40 AM. With that, ISRO successfully achieved the autonomous landing of a space vehicle.

SSLV-D2, the Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) new rocket successfully placed three satellites into the intended orbit shortly after its launch from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh this morning. The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking on Friday announced the launch of a public trial of electric bikes at key city bus stops. When bus passengers alight from the bus, they can use these e-bikes to travel to their final destination. E-bike stations are also being set up at commercial and residential areas.
