PM Modi praises India's Defence sector growth, calls it a monumental achievement

For the first time in the history of Independent India, defence exports touched a record Rs 21,083 crore in the financial year 2023-24. India’s defence exports saw a record growth of 32.5 pc over the last fiscal year when the figure was Rs 15,920 crore. The recent figures have indicated that the defence exports have grown by 31 times in the last 10 years. Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi called India’s defence sector growth a “monumental achievement”. The Prime Minister lauded the team’s hard work those who propelled India onto the global stage in defence. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh hailed PM Modi’s visionary leadership and congratulated all stakeholders. The defence industry, including private sector, has made tremendous efforts in achieving the highest-ever defence exports. The private sector and the DPSUs have contributed about 60 per cent and 40 per cent, respectively.

‘Overseas Friends’ of BJP UK organised a car rally in London to showcase ‘unwavering support’ for PM Modi ahead of Lok Sabha Polls 2024. Over 250 cars participated in the rally, showcasing widespread support for the BJP and PM Modi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 06 launched a scathing attack on RJD in Bihar, saying that when "Jungle Raj" came to the state, migration increased and the future of lakhs of students of the state was put at stake. Addressing a rally here as part of BJP’s preparations for the Lok Sabha polls, PM Modi said it is essential for Bihar to be developed for "Viksit Bharat" and the NDA government in the state has given speed to development works. Referring to the Rashtriya Janata Dal government that ruled Bihar for about 14 years between 1990 and 2005, PM Modi said that "one family prospered" and youth had to go out of state to earn their livelihood. "How lands were grabbed in lieu of jobs. The challenge of outward migration increased during the Jungle Raj, those who brought jungle raj only cared about their family," he said.

Earlier in the day, PM Narendra Modi in Dwarka offered prayers at Beyt Dwarka Temple. After offering prayers at the temple, Prime Minister inaugurated the Sudarshan Setu in Dwarka. It is the longest cable-stayed bridge of the country that has been constructed at the cost of ₹ 979 crore.
