Mohali:

The second Test was heading towards a draw today after India set England an improbable victory target of 403 in 43 overs on the fifth and final day.

The tourists, who trail 1-0 in the two-match series after India won the first Test in Chennai, were 31 for one from 13 overs in their second knock at tea.

Alastair Cook was the man out in England's second innings. He was caught for at second slip by VVS Laxman off Ishant Sharma's bowling.

Earlier, both Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir fell short of their hundreds. Yuvraj was run-out by Ian Bell for 86 and Gambhir fell three short of a hundred when he was caught by Bell off Graeme Swann. India declared the innings immediately after the opener's dismissal.
