Nishad Shah overcame a stiff challenge from Rayas Albuquerque to prevail 8-11, 11-7, 11-6, 9-11, 11-3, 11-5 in the sub-junior boys final of the Mumbai Suburban Table Tennis tournament organised by the MIG Cricket Club.
The youth boys title was won by Railway's Aman Balgu, who beat Air India's Sanil Shetty 11-8, 15-17, 11-2, 11-13, 12-10, 11-7 while Vallari Thombare crushed Simran Hariya 11-6, 12-10, 11-6 to secure the cadet girls crown and Anay Dave beat Nachiket Patel 11-8, 3-11, 13-11, 4-11, 11-8 for the cadet boys title.
The midget boys and girls titles were pocketed by Shaurya Pednekar and Payal Bohra respectively. |
