Six reasons why Tendulkar should score his maiden one-day Nagpur Ton today

* In six games in Nagpur, Tendulkar has been dismissed in the nervous 90s twice (vs South Africa in 2000 and vs Sri Lanka in 2005). Also, it's a venue where he played his first ever one-day international at home against Lanka in 1990.

* The Aussie bowling attack has no Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson. Tendulkar is a merciless willow wielder who can crush the hearts of inexperienced bowlers as green horns throughout the cricketing will world will vouch for.

* It was in Nagpur in 2005 that Australia won a Test series in India after 35 years. Tendulkar didn't hit the high notes in that Test (8 & 2) and he'll remember that!

* Another reason to exact revenge: Two Octobers ago, Tendulkar alongwith Sourav Ganguly set the tone for a great run chase after Australia scored 317 in the sixth match of the series. The duo put on 140, but India ended up 18 short.

* Tendulkar will be left wondering as to why he can't get to ODI three figures here when his Test record in Nagpur is impressive four hundreds in seven Tests.

* If Tendulkar gets a ton today, Chennai, Rajkot, Pune and Mohali will be the only Indian venues where he has played five or more ODIs without scoring a hundred.
At Mohali in 2007, he fell short by one run against Pakistan.
