Mumbai stormed into the final of U-20 Junior National Hockey Championship with a 1-0 win over Karnataka in the semi-finals at the Gachibowli Complex here yesterday.

Upendra Pillay scored the all-important win for the Mumbai outfit, who will take on Uttar Pradesh in the summit clash today.
The Mumbai team, coached by Ramesh Pillay beat Vidarbha, Bihar and Gujarat in their earlier rounds.
Coach Pillay said the team is confident his youngsters will take home the title.
"We have reached the final of this tournament after almost 10 years and the boys are very upbeat after beating Karnataka. We certainly have the potential to win the title," he said. |
