These are tricky times, says Dalmiya ahead of BCCI meeting
"I have no idea about it. Please don't ask me anything about the meeting. These are tricky and sensitive issues. You'll come to know after the meeting tomorrow." These very words uttered by BCCI's interim president Jagmohan Dalmiya to PTI on Saturday indicates the kind of shape this country's cricket board is in.
A Working Committee meeting will be held in Kolkata today but there is no clarity on who will chair the meeting — embattled elected president N Srinivasan or Dalmiya, who took over when Srinivasan had to step aside amidst the spot fixing scandal which his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan is allegedly involved in.
On Friday, the Supreme Court deferred the hearing on his petition, challenging the Bombay High Court’s order which had deemed the BCCI probe panel to investigate the spot-fixing controversy as “illegal and unconstitutional.”
