Patna man paying obeisance to Goddess Durga in a unique way

A devotee in Patna has his unique way of paying gratitude to Hindu goddess Durga during the festival of Navratri, by placing 21 ‘Kalash’ half filled with water over his chest as part of the ritual. Nageshwar Rai, who is in his 60s, has placed brass pots over his chest and will remain in the same position for all nine days of festivities. He will remain on fast, abstaining from eating and drinking. Rai, who has been performing this arduous ritual for past 22 years, believes it pleases goddess Durga. Rai’s unusual form of paying obeisance has drawn many people from different part of Patna city
