From reasonable to expensive to super expensive and unaffordable, the count of restaurants in the outsourcing hub Gurgaon is swelling every month. However, this new addition to the list aims to position itself strongly amongst the professionals of the region. Read on.
Menu: A unit of Graviss Hospitality, this 130-cover eatery offers Indian cuisine from the Northwest frontier region. Non vegetarians can start with tandoori pomfret tikka (Rs 575), seekh kebab (Rs 425) or gilawati kebab (Rs 425); while the vegetarian options include paneer kashmiri seekh (Rs 325), saundhe aloo (Rs 325), fauladi kebab (Rs 325) and rajma ki gilawat (Rs 325) among others.
Move on to the main course with lasooni methi jhinga (Rs 525), nalli tariwala (Rs 475) or mahi noorjehani (Rs 525) and murgh badami. Herbivores can choose from paneer tikka makhani (Rs 350), subz kadhai (Rs 350), Lahori aloo (Rs 350) and Coal khaas dal makhani (Rs 350). For better taste, combine these dishes with their range of breads Coal special lachcha naan (Rs 75), stuffed kulcha (Rs 65), khasta roti (Rs 45) and missi roti (Rs 45) among others. Don't worry about the calorie count because executive chef Ashish Seth makes sure that after indulging in a rich treat, you don't feel guilt laden.
Put a bonbon end with matra phirni zaffran (Rs 150), baked gulab jamun (Rs 150) or the kulfi faluda (Rs 125). To specifically cater to the needs of professionals, this place offers express lunch that combines a kebab sampler, dal makhani or tadke wali dal, vegetable and roti with a drink for Rs 425.
Drinks: As of now, you won't be served with liquor as this place is still waiting for its license. Slightly disappointing! However, their list of mocktails is no less satiating. Patrons can choose from virgin colada
(Rs 110), velvet gloves (Rs 110), sweet surrender (Rs 110), pineapple sunshine (Rs 110) and virgin mojito (Rs 110).
Ambience: Once you are here, you are greeted by a chic diner done up in black translucent tapestry and earthy brown seating with charcoal blocks as the centrepiece. The décor is pepped up with natural lighting during the day and has a contemporary interior that is a far cry from traditional Indian restaurants. The lounge music adds to the entire dining experience.
