Go down, get high
By: Swati Kumari

Delhi: There's no dearth of eateries in Noida's Atta market; after all, it is the biggest hangout hub of the township. Nevertheless, the jaded ol' pubs, south Indian diners, pizza points and cafés can get quite boring after a while, so every new restaurant is welcomed with open arms. Nine Steps Down is another addition to the lineup, and we tell you why it's definitely another feather in the capital's lounging cap.

Drinks: The restro-bar stocks the finest collection of liqueurs ranging from both domestic and imported whiskeys, vodkas and gins, apart from the usual rums, tequila, brandy and beer variants. A must try here is the shooters platter (Rs 1,000).

Food: The blend of preparations presented by culinary  expert Naveen Kaushal  deserves applause. In spite of the limited options, the delightful array of popular dishes compliments the beverages wonderfully. Sip your poison with snacks like cheese samosik (Rs 99 each), mushroom duplex, chicken wings (Rs 165) and fish finger
(Rs 245). For something more satiating, pick the sizzlers (Rs 199-Rs 250), pastas, or pizzas (Rs 145-Rs 225). Don't forget to save space for kebabs - murgh malai kebab (Rs 175), fish tikka achari (Rs 210) and the chef platter (Rs 275). Herbivores will love the paneer keshri tikka (Rs 175).

Ambience: The pub-lounge is done up in a tasteful palette of muted purples, pinks, reds, blues, whites and silver. You can sink into the wide sofas or opt for the stag stools arranged neatly across the bar. Couples seeking privacy can choose to sit in well-curtained corner. The huge guitar on the ceiling is a great draw for rockers, apart from the house music. The venue can also be booked for parties.
