Via Milano, the Italian restaurant in Koramangala, celebrates its first anniversary with a completely revamped menu.

What we loved: >>Caprese salad of cherry tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, avocado, and red chilli-scented melon.
>>Buckwheat flour pasta with cabbage, green beans and potatoes.
>>Baked grouper and fennel roll in a light tomato sauce.
>>Apple and almond pastry with vanilla ice cream.

Wallet factor: Rs 1500 for a meal without alcohol.

If it's Mediterranean cuisine you love, then head to Olive Beach for dinner. The new menu, created by chef Manu Chandra and his team, uses plenty of fresh herbs and spices.

What we loved: >>Seafood salad comprising smoked salmon, prawn, calamari and John Dory served with crisp fresh organic greens and a splash of orangecilantro emulsion.
>>Watermelon and tomato soup, with chilled slices of melon and tomato.
>>Pan-seared foie gras served with fig-prune-dry fruit chutney and a port reduction.
>>Tea-smoked duck breast served with smoked eggplant, wild mushroom and a delicious pepper and pineapple marmalade.
>>Chocolate fondant, and Valrohna mousse terrine of dark and white chocolate with fresh strawberries sandwiched in between.

Wallet factor: Rs 2000 for a meal with alcohol.

A slice of Italy

Toscano, the restaurant that reminds you of the pizzerias in Italy, has launched an all-new dinner menu.

What we loved: >>A salad of sliced pears, crunchy walnuts, asparagus and rucolla leaves dressed in red wine vinaigrette.
>>Thyme flavoured spinach and garlic soup.
>>Baked Camembert soufflé with carrot and fennel mousse.
>>Lemon and thyme marinated grilled fish with spaghetti of vegetables and capers.
>>Roasted potatoes with white truffle mushroom oil and smoked duck.
>>Kahlua mousse, apple crumble and mango pannacotta.

Wallet factor: Rs. 1,500 upwards for a meal without liquor.
