Gorge on Punjab da puttar's staple diet

The Cheese Garlic Paratha served with Chole, Black Dal, Raita and pickle

If you are looking for a satiating meal, there's nothing like a plateful of an indulgent paratha, stuffed with cheese/paneer/gobi (and 100 other filling varieties). The all-veggie Only Parathas has become our latest lunch favourite for good reason.

Ambience: The restaurant oozes with a calm, relaxed vibe. The tables are well laid, and the staff is eager to attend.

We tried and liked: Looking at the wide variety of kebabs and other scrumptious starters and main course dishes on the menu, we think, the owners should consider re-christening the restaurant "Not Only Parathas".

The Cheese Garlic Paratha is packed with bland cheese spiked with a zing of garlic. Soft and delectable. The dual flavours in the Spring Onion with Paneer Paratha, and the hint of sweetness in the Sweet Carrot and Baby Corn Paratha, tingled in our mouths. Each paratha is accompanied with Black Dal, Raita, Chole and a pickle.

Health conscious? Try their Low Calorie Paratha range.

What else? Only Parathas also serves chaats and Chinese cuisine.

Price range: Parathas: Rs 91 for single layer, Rs 111 for double layer; Punjabi Thali: Rs 149; Paratha Basket: Rs 240

At: The Metropole, G-4, next to Inox, Bund Garden Road. From 11 am to 11 pm, all days of the week. Call: 26051834
