Dilli jaise Golgappe at Pali Naka chaat station

By: Shikha Shah

The Guide find you a new food corner that dishes out hygienic and lip-smacking raste ka khana at rasta prices

This is where you can hog raste ka khana without worrying about your wallet or your health. Annabella Food Corner is a tiny miss-if-you-blink stall at Pali Market that's just three weeks old. Prakash Shah and his wife Dipti opened a women's accessory store, Annabella, and since the two are foodies, they decided to throw in a mini food counter outside.

The menu includes Pani Puri, Bhel Puri, Delhi Papdi Chaat (all between Rs 20 to Rs 40), Ragda Pattice, Chole Pav, Rajasthani Tokari Chaat, Raj Kachori Chaat and some novelties like American Sev Puri and Cheese Sev Puri. If not chaat, go Oriental and try Chinese Bhel (Rs 25 to 35) that's available in cheese and paneer options. The sandwiches (Rs 10 to 70) include Aloo Toast, Grilled Cheese Veg Sandwich, Club Cheese Sandwich and Pattice Cheese Sandwich. Some of their Frankies (Rs 20 to 45) are innovative with Schezwan, Cheese, Noodles and Mayonnaise fillings.

We tried the Dabeli (Rs 10); bread stuffed with aloo and garnished with sev, peanuts and pomegranate, a sweet-spicy snack. The Golgappas (Pani Puri) here are served stuffed with piping hot ragda and chilled paani. The Chole Pav (Rs 20) was average as the chole was half-boiled and gravy teetering on sour.
Drink options are limited with nothing other than cola. Iced teas, fresh juices or even Jaljeera would be a welcome addition.

At Annabella, Passion Flower, Shop No 5, Pali Naka Bandra (W).
