Her work is an exceptional blend of the Orient with the Western world. Watch her fuse the delicate and graceful eye and foot movements of Kathak with the emotional intensity, proud carriage, expressive use of the arms and rhythmic stomping of the feet that Flamenco involves.

 The 48 Hour Film Project comes to Mumbai today. Join filmmakers from all over the country to compete and see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. Tonight, you will get a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all to include in your movie. Forty-eight hours later, the movie must be complete. It will be then shown at a local theatre.  Based on the bestseller Saga No Gabai Baachan, Gabai Granny is an account of comedian Shimada Yoshichi's childhood. Starring legendary Japanese actress Yoshiyuki Kazuko, it tells the story of a young boy Akihiro, who was sent against his wishes to the countryside to be brought up by his grandmother. The old lady shows the boy how perseverance pays and how it is possible to look at the brighter side of things.
