In the scene shared by netizens, a red saree is used as a symbol of a red alert to warn people about the situation on the train. When Dharmendra asks if anyone has a red cloth, actress Asha Sharma, who is wearing a red saree, offers it to be used as a signal to alert the railway authorities.

However, netizens later pointed out that a child in the scene was wearing a red sweater, which could have been used as a signal, but instead, the actress’s saree was chosen.

Indian movie makers ki creativity, logic ka koi hisab nahi tha...” while another wrote, “Blouses bhi toh red tha na.” A third user commented, “Mujhe laga tha bcche ko fenkega,” while another wrote, “Peak detailing by the director.” A social media user also stated, “70-80s audience were dumb.”

To note, the scene was also shared by Gaurav Gera, who took a jibe at the goof-up.

The plot of the film revolves around the inaugural run of India’s fastest train, the “Super Express.” Its journey is from New Delhi to Bombay, but it turns into a nightmare when the train catches fire due to sabotage.

In 2020, rumours were rife that the cult classic would be remade by Jackky Bhagnani and Juno Chopra. Jackky Bhagnani announced the remake of the film on his Instagram profile and wrote, “Delighted to announce the remake of The Burning Train in association with my dear friend Juno Chopra. A classic by Ravi Chopra Sir. Hope we do justice to the magic that he created years ago.”

A fresh leak of behind-the-scenes from the sets of King has now taken over social media, this time featuring Abhishek Bachchan.

Images of the actor from the film’s set have surfaced online, giving fans a glimpse of his new avatar. The leaked pics have further fueled more curiosity around his role in the film.

The images were circulated by several fan accounts on X (formerly Twitter). Earlier leaks from King sets

Earlier, several videos of Deepika and Shah Rukh shooting in South Africa for King surfaced on social media and quickly went viral. One of the videos showed them in the middle of the scene, while another one showed Shah Rukh offering his hand to help Deepika as they climbed a flight of stairs. Later, a video of them seemingly shooting a romantic song by the beach also surfaced.

Following the leaks, director Siddharth Anand had reacted strongly, urging fans to stop circulating them online. He wrote on X, “REQUEST TO ALL THE FANS. In the sequence, Sharman`s character is seen disguised as a woman, as he sits with Madhav in a race car, waving. The video then transitioned from their characters 20 years ago to the present day, as the two actors recreate the same iconic waving scene.

Rohit, in the caption, wrote, "Driving down the memory lane! How old were you when you watched the first Golmaal? We promise you`ll relive those happy days very soon... filming in progress."

Arshad also shared the video and mentioned that 20 years since the first instalment came out, and nothing has changed. "20 years and nothing has changed. Golmaal will keep entertaining you..." he wrote. Actor Sharman also shared the scene and wrote, "Baap of all throwbacks."

About the Golmaal franchise

The first instalment of the Golmaal film series, starring Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad and Sharman, along with Rimi Sen and Paresh Rawal, was released in 2006. It is reportedly based on Harsh Shivsharan`s Marathi play Ghar Ghar, which also inspired Vora`s Gujarati play Aflatoon.

The film franchise was followed by 4 sequels, namely Golmaal Returns, which was released in 2008, Golmaal 3 in 2010 and Golmaal Again, which hit the big screen in 2017.

All the films of the franchise starred Ajay, Arshad, Tusshar, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee and Mukesh Tiwari. Meanwhile, Shreyas Talpade appears in three of the films, while Kunal Khemu and Johnny Lever appear in two.

The fifth instalment was announced by director Rohit Shetty in March this year. Golmaal 5 marks the reunion of the original gang, including Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, and Kunal Kemmu, along with the return of Sharman Joshi and the addition of Akshay Kumar. The film is currently shooting and is expected to release in 2027.

Police arrest a man in connection to the case

Police sources revealed that the case came to light after a complaint was filed detailing the alleged financial fraud. Following preliminary investigations, officers tracked down and arrested the accused in Mumbai. Authorities are now examining bank transactions, financial records, and communication exchanged between the parties to understand how the alleged scam operated and whether more individuals were affected.

The investigation reportedly suggests that the accused projected himself as a trustworthy businessman and gained the confidence of the complainant before securing the investment amount. Officials believe the fraud may have been carefully planned, with promises of lucrative profits and business expansion used to lure the victim. The police are also probing if similar complaints have been made against the accused in the past.

All about Habiba Jaffrey`s link to the case

Habiba Jaffrey’s name surfaced during the investigation due to her alleged connection with the financial dealings under scrutiny. However, authorities have not publicly disclosed the full extent of her involvement and are continuing to question individuals linked to the matter. The police have stated that the probe remains ongoing and more details are expected to emerge after further interrogation and forensic examination of financial documents.

Actor Jaaved Jaaferi has not issued any public statement regarding the case so far. Investigators are reportedly focused on recovering the cheated amount and identifying all parties connected to the alleged fraud. Officials added that strict action would be taken if additional evidence of financial misconduct is uncovered during the investigation.

On the work front, Jaaved Jaaferi is set to return to TV after two decades. He will be seen as the judge in India`s Best Dancer season 5.

Usha`s daughter, Anjali Uthup, reacted to her post by commenting, “Well said Ma. Keep singing and keep us all happy always... Ayushmann Khurrana`s rendition of Dil Waale Chor

Adding another emotional layer ahead of the release, the actor has collaborated with Rochak Kohli for a soulful recreation of the track, bringing his signature warmth and honesty to the song. Originally composed by Rochak Kohli and sung by Aditya Rikhari and Shreya Ghoshal in the film, Dil Waale Chor now returns with a fresh and intimate soul in Ayushmann’s voice.

Speaking about the track, Ayushmann shared, “Music has always been a very personal space for me. The first time I heard Dil Waale Chor, it stayed with me. There was something beautifully unfiltered about the song, the emotion of the lyrics and melody. Aamir Khan begins filming for 3 Idiots

Recently, after more than a decade, the much-awaited sequel to the iconic film was announced, leaving fans excited and curious about what the new chapter will explore. And now, a report by Hindustan Times has revealed that Aamir Khan has officially begun work on the sequel to the 2009 blockbuster. 

According to a source, Aamir Khan has officially started working on the sequel to 3 Idiots. The project is presently in its pre-production phase, and it has been confirmed that the original trio, Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi, are set to reprise their roles in the much-awaited follow-up.

3 Idiots to have time leap

The source further told Hindustan Times that the sequel will feature a major time leap, meaning the characters will no longer be at the same stage of life as seen in the 2009 film. Interestingly, the biggest twist surrounding the project is its timeline. While a time jump has been confirmed, it is still unclear whether the story will unfold before or after the events of the original film. The insider maintains that only Aamir currently knows the exact direction of the storyline. Meanwhile, Rajkumar Hirani, who helmed the original blockbuster, is also reportedly returning to direct the sequel.

Diljit Dosanjh no longer an Indian citizen

According to a report by The Indian Express, Diljit, who was born in Punjab, reportedly acquired US citizenship in 2022 and has been travelling on an American passport since September that year.

The report further claims that the singer, who spends a majority of his time abroad, now visits India on an e-visa. Dosanjh’s last Indian passport was reportedly issued in Mumbai in 2018, while an earlier passport was issued in Zambia.

As per the report, Diljit’s wife, Sandeep Kaur, is also reportedly a US citizen. It further states that while securing his citizenship, Diljit listed a five-bedroom bungalow in California as his residential address. However, the actor-singer has not yet publicly responded to the claims regarding a change in citizenship.

Meanwhile, Diljit recently made headlines after firmly dismissing speculation about entering Punjab politics. Amid his tour, the singer responded to growing buzz around him becoming a political face in Punjab.

Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming films

Diljit was last seen in Border 2, a sequel to J. P. Dutta’s 1997 film Border. Set during the India–Pakistan war of 1971, the film stars Sunny Deol alongside an ensemble cast including Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. The film also features Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, and Anya Singh.

He is currently awaiting the release of Main Vaapas Aaunga by Imtiaz Ali. The film marks Diljit’s second collaboration with Ali after the biopic Amar Singh Chamkila. Main Vaapas Aaunga is a period romantic drama starring Sharvari, Naseeruddin Shah, and Vedang Raina. The film is set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition of India and explores themes of love, separation, migration, and memory.

The narrative is expected to follow a romantic relationship shaped and disrupted by historical upheaval, a recurring motif in Partition-era storytelling. The film also reunites Imtiaz Ali with A. R. Chatterjee remembered his first interaction with Akhtar; it happened without any indication of the film franchise that was driving it. “My friend Anurag Rao, who is also associated with Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, called me out of the blue and said, ‘Farhan wants to learn [the sitar] from you.’ I asked why he wanted to learn it. At that point, Farhan was bound by an NDA, so [my friend] couldn’t get all the details. [Later] Farhan said, ‘There’s this role that I’m doing.’ So, we met and I gave him some tips,” recalled Chatterjee.

With excitement for Peddi at an all-time high, the film is set to hit theatres on 4th June 2026. Positioned as next biggest films of the year, it will arrive just after the IPL season concludes, a perfectly timed release for a mega-screen spectacle that is expected to dominate the box office.

Peddi’s first single, Chikiri Chikiri, created a strong buzz right after its release, with audiences loving its fresh vibe and the signature touch of A. R. Rahman. More about Peddi

Last month, it was announced that Peddi had been postponed to June, but the date was not revealed. It was originally supposed to be released on April 30. The makers revealed that a small portion of the work was still remaining for the film. To ensure the best theatrical experience, the makers decided to give the technicians and post-production team more time. Consequently, the release date was pushed further.

Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi stars Ram Charan in the titular role, alongside Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under his banner, Vriddhi Cinemas, and in collaboration with leading production house Mythri Movie Makers, the film is scheduled for release on 4th June 2026.

The cast appeared enthusiastic as audiences in Delhi geared up to witness the much-discussed film.

Adding prominence to the evening, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also attended the premiere. Actress Sameera Reddy, who plays a key character as Pallavi Menon, spoke to ANI about her experience sharing the screen with longtime friend, actor Sanjay Dutt.

"In the film, I lock horns with Sanjay Dutt and trouble him a lot. I had a lot of fun because we`re good friends. Putting aside all the fun stuff, it`s a very good and well-made entertaining film on facts. 

It`s not making an opinion for you but just giving out facts," Sameera said. She also opened up about making a comeback into acting, sharing that she never felt like being away from the industry. 

"When you`re an actor, I don`t know if you`ve ever left. I`ve been so active on Instagram and social media. People enjoy it. I do comedy. I don`t feel I`ve ever left, really. When you`re an actor, you`re always an actor. Today, things have become more hectic," she said.

Actor Namashi Chakraborty urged the audience to watch his film Aakhri Sawal before forming opinions or describing it as "propaganda."

"Everyone has their own point of view. But no one should call the film propaganda without watching it. The film teaches how to form your own opinion. It`s not only important to ask questions, but also to listen to answers," Namashi shared.

He also spoke about his father, the veteran Mithun Chakraborty, who advised him to follow the path of honesty and hard work. 

"My father would always tell me that whether it is in films or acting, it should be done with honesty and hard work," he said. Actor Tridha Choudhary explained that the youth must watch Aakhri Sawal.

"I`m speaking on behalf of the youth of India, and the youth need to watch our film. There is a lot that our history has always taught us. It`s better to see it unfold through our films," she shared.

Directed by the National Film Awardee Abhijeet Mohan Warang, the film Aakhri Sawal stars Sanjay Dutt, Sameera Reddy, Amit Sadh, Namashi Chakraborty and Neetu Chandra in the lead role. Aakhri Sawal is scheduled to release in cinemas on May 15, in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

“As a Malayali and a cricket lover, I feel proud to stand beside Sanju Samson for a picture, a proud moment for every Malayali cricket fan imsanjusamson,” the filmmaker wrote as the caption.

Sanju Samson plays for the India national cricket team. He was part of the 2024 and 2026 T20 World Cup-winning teams, including a Player of the Tournament performance in 2026. He plays for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and for the Kerala cricket team.

Talking about Priyadarshan, he has been working since 1982 in Hindi and Malayalam cinema. The filmmaker has over 90 movies to his credit, which include blockbusters such as Chitram, Kilukkam, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, De Dana Dan, Bhagam Bhag, and Hera Pheri.

About Deepika’s second pregnancy

Junaid Khan has revealed why he no longer discusses scripts with his father, Aamir Khan, after the making of ‘Ek Din’. Speaking to Vickey Lalwani, Junaid said, “No, because I made that mistake with ‘Ek Din’.” Recalling how Aamir became emotionally invested in the project, he added, “Papa is a fantastic producer, but what ends up happening is it takes five years to make it.” Junaid also shared that Aamir “gets nervous when he’s not in charge” and is now eager to collaborate with him again, though the actor wants to take his time.

Constructive criticism is something that Sara Ali Khan implements 80 per cent of the time but the actor says it is equally important to block out the noise as she navigates a career where she has had her fair share of successes and failures. Sara, daughter of actors Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan, said her mother, in fact, warned her about overnight success after the release of her debut film Kedarnath (2018), followed by Simmba. “I know that I got a lot of love very early in my career, very early. And my mom, in fact, used to tell me ‘This is very scary’ because it happened overnight and it was a lot. Then came two films that didn’t give me that love and that was actually scarier” she said in an interview with PTI.

As actor Ayushmann Khurrana gears up for the release of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, he says he is looking forward to making the audience laugh. Speaking about the film, he said, “I have always believed that for the audience content is king. My only attempt has been to tell stories that entertain people, make them laugh a lot, and give them one hell of a time in theatres.” He added that the upcoming comedy is designed as a “complete big-screen entertainer” for family audiences and said the script “had me hooked instantly” because of its humour.

“The final song has a montage that chronicles the journey of Shraddha’s character from a young woman to her brush with fame and finally how she falls on hard times. Like the remaining numbers, this too has been choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant,” said a source.

Recently, Karimi conducted an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Instagram when a user asked her, “Are things better in Iran now? And where are you headed to?” To this, the actress mentioned, “Unfortunately, no. Things in Iran have become even more aggressive. The IRGC is back on the streets, intimidating people, executions are still happening, and internet blackouts continue. Communication with our families is extremely limited — phone calls barely go through, and when they do, they are incredibly expensive.”

“People have lost jobs, loved ones, and any sense of stability. The regime is at one of its weakest points and, like a wounded animal, it’s reacting with even more violence and fear. The hardest part is that there is very little reliable news coming out from inside Iran right now, so everything feels uncertain and painfully vague,” Mandana added.

Mandana leaves India

She uploaded a video of herself from the airport, saying, “I never could imagine or believe that I could say this, but goodbye India.”

Rahul Dev slams paparazzi

Speaking to Hindi Rush, Rahul shared, “The media should be a little responsible. It’s not like I don’t have very good friends in the media, but I experienced it at Mukul’s funeral as well,” said Rahul. “I didn’t invite anyone. Where did they come from? I just had to reach the crematorium within one hour from Max Hospital that day. It was just a one-man show. Our parents are no more."

Rahul added that though he didn’t inform the media about his brother’s funeral, he had posted the information on his Instagram Stories for relatives. The photographers reached the location after seeing his post. He stated, “That caused pagalpan (chaos). They should think I’ve lost my brother, and you’re there to click photos. It’s very weird."

The actor also opened up about confronting the photographers and said, “I didn’t feel any embarrassment. I did what I thought was best then. The one who’s covering it should feel embarrassed instead. It just shows their depth. I was just doing my duty as a brother. So, the media should be sensitive, but they’re not. That’s the truth."

Notably, this is not the first time Rahul has spoken up about the media`s insensitive behaviour during his brother`s funeral. While speaking to Bollywood Bubble earlier, he shared that he requested photographers not to cover the funeral with folded hands, but they still continued clicking. Rahul also recalled how the photographers gave him a thumbs-up from a distance but continued shooting regardless. He later found the videos online.

Mukul Dev`s death

Actor Mukul Dev died at the age of 54 on May 23, 2025. The actor passed away following a brief illness and time in the ICU. In the past, Rahul has shared how Mukul suffered from deteriorating health due to poor eating habits. He also shared that Mukul has lost interest in life, especially after their parents passed away.

Tabu on ageing pressure in the industry

In a conversation with Harper’s Bazaar, she shared how women are harshly judged for ageing. She added, “People are more worried about your age than you are yourself. They want to show you the mirror, as though you don’t have one at home. The person answering that question hasn’t aged overnight. We experience it every single day. It’s not like one day someone wakes up at 20 and the next day they turn 45.”

Police deny attack at Diljit Dosanjh`s manager`s home

Following the viral reports, heavy police were deployed outside the farmhouse located in Gondar village on the Gondar-Dachar Road in Karnal. Teams from the Nissing Police Station, the Special Task Force (STF), and the CIA reportedly gathered at the spot to investigate the matter.

According to The Statesman report, Nissing SHO Krishan Kumar spoke about the incident and said that officers conducted a detailed inspection of the premises, but did not find any signs of firing. He also revealed that family members, who were present at the farmhouse, did not give any statement, nor did they file a formal complaint regarding the alleged attack.

Similarly, former village sarpanch Joga Singh also quashed the reports, claiming there was no such incident. According to Singh, the family was inside the farmhouse, and they were unaware of any firing until the police arrived for inspection. He said that the entire matter was just a rumour.

Lawrence Bishnoi gang claims responsibility

Despite the denials, a social media post went viral, which claimed that individuals identified as Tyson Bishnoi, Arzoo Bishnoi, and Harry Boxer from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang were behind the alleged attack. The post allegedly claimed that “Austria-made” weapons were used for the attack. It also described the incident as a “third warning” to Diljit Dosanjh and his management team, while accusing the singer’s team of misconduct during an international tour. The post also threatens further consequences.

While initial reports claimed that shell casings and bullet marks were discovered at the spot, authorities did not officially confirm any such recovery. Police officials even stated that all angles, including the authenticity of the viral threats, are currently under investigation. Meanwhile, according to reports, security has been tightened around the farmhouse as a precautionary measure. Currently, Diljit is overseas for his Aura Tour. 

Lauren, who made her debut in Hindi cinema in 2013 with the film ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, took to Instagram, where she shared a video footage of herself from the dance competition show, which first premiered in 2005.

Taking to the caption section, the actress penned her thoughts about the show coming to an end. She wrote: “The end of an era. So You Think You Can Dance has officially ended after 18 seasons.”

Lauren shared that she “was just an 18 year old girl from Arizona when I stepped onto that stage for Season 3, back in 2007!! Not only was I part of my season, but I was lucky enough to come back again and again for the All-Star seasons too.”

19 years later, Lauren says she still has “moments like two days ago when a flight attendant stopped me and said ‘OMG, I love you all the way back from So You Think You Can Dance!’ That’s cultural impact if I’ve ever seen it!!”

“Dance transcends language, borders, and every other barrier we try to put between each other. Dance reaches straight to the heart. And that’s exactly what this show did for so many people around the world,” she added. 

Lauren thanked every member of the show. “To every single person who made this show what it was, cast, crew, choreographers, judges, our parents, and our fans - Thank you Thank you for the memories and all the moments that changed our lives forever. Regarding Lauren, after her debut in 2013, she was seen as a runner-up on the sixth season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, alongside choreographer and partner Punit Pathak. She also judged the show`s eighth season.

In 2016, Lauren made her Punjabi debut with Ambarsariya and was last seen in the 2025 film Single Salma, which stars Huma Qureshi, Sunny Singh and Shreyas Talpade in the lead role.

Akshay Kumar sports new look for Welcome to the Jungle

What makes the look click instantly is the nostalgia factor. There’s a familiar coolness reminiscent of the cult charm he brought to Welcome, but this time mounted on a much grander scale. The visual feels slicker, bigger and more movie magic-like, while still holding onto the unmistakable Welcome flavour that audiences have loved for years. The first look is as much about comedy as about his star power, with Akshay carrying the same effortless charisma that made him such a natural fit for the franchise in the first place.

About Welcome to the Jungle

At the end of March, mid-day reported that producer Firoz A Nadiadwallah had deferred a song shoot in Dubai amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia (Welcome to Plan B - March 31). However, the director-producer duo remain keen to film in Dubai to capture a luxe lifestyle — and to shoot at least Suniel Shetty’s entry sequence in Welcome to the Jungle, alongside Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, and Rajpal Yadav.

The plan is now locked. The cast will fly to Dubai in mid-May to film the sequence. “Suniel’s introduction scene will be one of the most expensive [sets] in the movie, shot over three days,” a source reveals. The makers want Suneil Shetty’s entry to echo Feroz Khan’s iconic introduction in Welcome (2007). “Suniel plays a loveable don. The scene will be shot mid-sea, onboard a 200-foot sleek yacht with a helipad. Suniel and Arshad will get down from the helicopter and meet [the others].”

Directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome To The Jungle is slated to release in cinemas on June 26. With one of the biggest ensemble casts in recent times and Akshay Kumar returning to a space associated with his comic legacy, the film is already shaping up to be one of the season’s big-screen entertainers. Ready for a rollicking time?

The Mirzapur actress shared that some actors are naturally capable of not just performing their parts, but also being fully aware of all that is taking place on the set, something which Rasika admittedly struggles to do. She confessed that while on the set, she often remains in her own head, unable to carry others with her.

When asked what she unlearned on the sets of Kartavya, Rasika said, "There are some actors who are able to sort of understand what is happening on the set entirely and do their job also, which I saw Saif do very beautifully."

"I feel that sometimes when I am on set, I can only be in my own head a little bit and not really be able to carry everybody together with me, and not even sort of take on that responsibility. So I unlearned how to do that because I saw him do that so beautifully," she went on to add.

Previously, Rasika shared her experience of working with Saif. She revealed that she found the Jewel Thief actor extremely fun to work with. Rasika said, “It`s great to have a co-actor who has a super sense of humour and is so much fun to work with! I really admire how he has sustained a successful career for over three decades and constantly reinvented himself. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him.”

Directed and written by Pulkit, Kartavya also features Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Manish Chaudhari, and Saurabh Dwivedi in significant roles, along with others. Kartavya is slated to premiere on streaming giant Netflix on 15th May this year.
