Hosted by actress Mariska Hargitay, “The Pitt” won Outstanding Drama Series crown after entering the ceremony as the most-nominated show with 25 nods. Noah Wyle also picked up Lead Actor in a Drama Series for “The Pitt.”

The medical drama lost out in the directing and supporting acting nominations.

Each season follows emergency department staff at a fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center as they navigate a single 12-hour shift amid staff shortages, underfunding, and personal crises. Each episode is set in real time and depicts approximately one hour of the shift.

 “Widow’s Bay” emerged as the night’s top comedy, winning Outstanding Comedy Series in its first year. Matthew Rhys was named Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Kate O’Flynn and Stephen Root won the supporting acting prizes, Hiro Murai was feted with an award for directing and Katie Dippold took home the award for writing.

The series is set in the fictional New England island town of Widow's Bay, which happens to be afflicted with a centuries-old curse that brings various supernatural evils upon the island.

“Slow Horses” won Directing for a Drama Series, while Vince Gilligan took home the writing trophy for “Pluribus”.

“Hacks,” which entered the ceremony with 24 nominations for its final season, added another major win to its tally, with Jean Smart named Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

 “Pluribus” actress Rhea Seehorn won Lead Actress in a Drama Series, while Tom Pelphrey took Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for “Task” and Allison Janney won Supporting Actress for “The Diplomat.”

Pluribus is an American post-apocalyptic science fiction television series created by Vince Gilligan.

Set and filmed primarily in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Pluribus follows novelist Carol Sturka, who finds herself isolated after an alien virus transforms the rest of humanity into a peaceful and content hive mind, which nevertheless seeks to assimilate her and other immune individuals.

The Limited or Anthology Series was on by “DTF St. Louis” and “The Traitors” was named as winner in the Reality Competition Program.

Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series was won by veteran actress Sally Field for “Remarkably Bright Creatures.” She becomes the oldest to win in the category, a record previously held by Jessica Tandy.

Tom Pelphrey was named as a winner in the Supporting Actor In A Drama Series and Kate O’Flynn, “Widow’s Bay” in Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series.

Catherine O’Hara gets heartfelt tribute

Levy and Murphy played O’Hara’s children on all six seasons of “Schitt’s Creek,” while Culkin played her son in the “Home Alone” movies.

Murphy went on to recall all the affection she received from strangers after O’Hara died. “After we lost Catherine, I was passed a note on an Air Canada flight that said, ‘She was so special. I hope you’re doing okay,’” Murphy said.

She added: “On a drive up north, I was hugged by an extremely gruff-looking gas station attendant who was also grieving her loss. While buying wine at the LCBO, I was treated to a very lively Catherine mashup, which was a woman saying, ‘Ew, David, where’s the baby?’ while doing what I can only assume was Catherine’s exquisite hobble from ‘Best in Show.’”

Culkin labelled his onscreen mother as “encouraging,” “warm,” and “funny.” He said during the speech: “She wasn’t just a wife and mother to Bo and Matthew and Luke. She was my mom. She was our mama.”

Levy said that O’Hara taught him to always say yes to everything, both professionally and personally. He added, “Say yes to her dinner invites and her stories and her wisdom and her generosity. Those are the things you will hold onto the tightest. Always say yes to any opportunity to revel in the presence of greatness.”

Catherine O’Hara died on January 30, 2026, at the age of 71 from a pulmonary embolism caused by a blood clot in her lungs. She was best known for her work in “Schitt’s Creek,” “Home Alone,” and “Best in Show.” The veteran actress is survived by her husband, Bo Welch, and their two sons, Matthew and Luke.

She won an Emmy in 2020 and previously earned an Emmy in 1982 for her work on SCTV Network. Over the course of her career, O’Hara received eight additional nominations for acting and writing. In 2025, she was a double nominee, earning recognition for Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series for HBO’s “The Last of Us,” as well as for her comedic performance in “The Studio.”

Sunita Ahuja revealed why Govinda wasn't there

While talking to ANI, Sunita Ahuja shared the reason why Govinda wasn't present during Bappa's aagaman at their home, she said, "Govinda ji is in America, he'll come back at night. If he is tired, he won't come for darshan today and instead will come tomorrow. This is his house, so he has to come."

After returning from the US, Govinda headed straight home to join his family for their annual Ganpati celebrations. The actor was seen seeking Lord Ganesha’s blessings alongside his children, Tina and Yashvardhan. Speaking about the family tradition, Govinda revealed that the celebrations were started by his mother and have continued over the years. He also spoke about his hopes for Yashvardhan, expressing his wish for his son to carry forward the family’s legacy successfully. Govinda’s presence added to the festive spirit as the family came together to mark the occasion and seek blessings from Bappa.

And Yash, the way he has carried forward his family's legacy, I hope he becomes even more successful. I hope he becomes so successful that people say he's even better than Govinda. May Bappa bless him, and may he never face any hardships."

Earlier, Sunita Ahuja and her kids went together to bring Ganpati Bappa home with enthusiasm, marking a change from the family’s usual tradition. She revealed that Govinda or their son Yashvardhan generally takes responsibility for bringing the idol home, but this year she chose to do it herself. Sunita said she welcomed Bappa with singing and dancing, making the occasion especially joyful. She also credited Lord Ganesha for the positive developments in her life over the past year.

The actor’s wife shared that her hard work had brought her recognition, fame and several opportunities, motivating her to personally bring the idol home and seek Bappa’s blessings. She further expressed gratitude by saying, "In the last one year, Bappa has given me so much fame. I've been working hard, and things have gone really well for me. So I decided that I'd bring Lord Ganesha with my own hands."

Meanwhile, the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards are taking place at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, with HBO Max's medical drama "The Pitt" aiming to make Emmy history and a closely watched best comedy race between freshman horror-comedy "Widow's Bay" and veteran favourite Hacks, The New York Times reported.

The ceremony will honour television programmes that aired between June 2025 and May 2026, with awards being presented across 19 categories covering dramas, comedies, reality programmes and late-night shows.

The best comedy category is expected to be one of the night's closest contests, with Widow's Bay going up against Emmy favourite Hacks. The freshman horror-comedy is challenging Hacks, which could secure another major victory in what is being viewed as its swan-song season.

In the limited series race, HBO Max's DTF St Louis is considered a slight favourite over the second season of Netflix's anthology series Beef.

While talking to ANI, Tusshar Kapoor described Ganesh Chaturthi as one of the most "auspicious occassions" of his life. 

"Like every year, Bappa has come; that's the special thing. I'm just happy that all my family members are here. The atmosphere in the city has changed. It's raining. In August, not a single drop of rain fell. With the arrival of Ganpati Bappa, it started raining. That is the most auspicious thing. I hope it's happening wherever it should be. It's been 52 years. Along with the pictures, the actor shared a heartfelt note that read, "Made by my Jeh Baba..Wishing everyone a happy and peaceful Ganesh Chaturthi!"

In one of the pictures, Saif Ali Khan can be seen sitting on the floor while carefully shaping the clay idol. The actor, dressed in a white outfit, was seen working on the sculpture with clay-covered hands.

The festive spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi took over Mumbai on Monday as celebrities welcomed Lord Ganesha with devotion, warmth and festive cheer. Meanwhile, Kajol recently celebrated her son Yug Devgan’s 16th birthday. She got emotional as he marked the milestone on September 13.

The actress shared a heartfelt birthday note on Instagram, reflecting on how quickly her son has grown while expressing her hopes for the person he will become. Kajol admitted that she could hardly believe Yug had already turned 16, saying that despite watching him grow taller and stronger, she still sees the little boy he once was.

Rhys won two lead acting Emmys on the same night at Monday's ceremony. Earlier in the night, he took home the lead actor (limited) for his work in Netflix's 'The Beast in Me.' Later on, he nabbed the lead comedy actor prize for Apple TV's "Widow's Bay."

He's now the first person ever to claim both lead actor prizes in a single ceremony, and adding to his 2018 drama win for 'The Americans,' the pair of statuettes also makes him the first male performer to win in all three lead acting categories.

According to Variety, two performers had won two acting Emmys on one night before, but neither did it in the lead categories. 

James Earl Jones swept lead drama actor for 'Gabriel's Fire' and supporting actor (limited) for 'Heat Wave' in 1991, and Stockard Channing took two supporting actress trophies in 2002, for 'The West Wing' and 'The Matthew Shepard Story.'

Rhys, already a previous Emmy winner for lead drama actor in 2018 for 'The Americans' and now, 'Widow's Bay' and 'The Beast in Me' hands him the complete set of lead acting Emmys across drama, comedy and limited, a trifecta no actor had ever assembled.

In the limited race, the actor pulled off the bigger surprise, edging the presumptive favourite Oscar Isaac ('Beef') along with Riz Ahmed ('Bait'), Jason Bateman ('Black Rabbit') and Charlie Hunnam ('Monster: The Ed Gein Story').

On the comedy side, Rhys topped Yahya Abdul-Mateen II ('Wonder Man'), Steve Carell ('Rooster'), Jason Segel ('Shrinking') and Martin Short ('Only Murders in the Building').

The Welsh actor also has two additional nominations as an executive producer on both of his series.

This year's Emmy nominations were led by "The Pitt" with 25 nominations, followed by 'Hacks,' 'Widow's Bay' and 'Beef.' The award show is underway in Los Angeles, California.

Taylor Swift appears at Emmy Awards

Taylor Swift skipped the 78th Emmy Awards in favour of attending the Kansas City Chiefs’ home opener, but still made a surprise appearance during the ceremony through a pre-taped Law & Order: Special Victims Unit sketch.

The segment featured Mariska Hargitay reprising her iconic character, Olivia Benson, as she led an investigation into whether Swift would attend the Emmys. The sketch poked fun at the speculation surrounding the pop star’s appearance, with the cast analysing clues much like dedicated Swifties often do.

Swift eventually appeared as a rookie on the squad, holding her real-life cat, Olivia Benson, who was named after Hargitay’s character. Wearing a grey suit, she joked about the possibility of not attending the ceremony, saying, “She’s probably going to be at home playing with those cats she’s named after TV characters.”

Benson eventually cracked the case, pointing out that Swift’s husband, Travis Kelce, was playing for the Kansas City Chiefs that same night. The sketch confirmed that while Swift was part of the Emmys, she would not be attending the ceremony in person at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

About Swift’s Emmy nomination

The feline cameo was a particularly fitting nod to Swift and Hargitay’s friendship, which has included more than a decade of mutual admiration. Taylor Swift The Eras Tour The Final Show had received five nominations at the Creative Arts Emmys, including Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded). The awards for those categories were handed out on September 5, but the Disney+ production did not win any of them.

To note, the Primetime Emmy Awards, television's highest honours, were presented in Los Angeles on Monday. The Pitt and Widow's Bay claimed top honours. The emergency room drama, The Pitt, extended its Emmy reign with a second consecutive Best Drama trophy, while newcomer Widow's Bay emerged as the comedy victor on Monday as television celebrated its biggest night.

Macklemore’s statement after removal

Macklemore shared a statement on his Instagram, revealing that “Ed Sheeran and his team have made the decision to remove me from The Loop tour.”

He went on to say in his twelve-post carousel, “The victims are the Palestinian people. The men, women and children who have been killed, starved, displaced and forced to live through unimaginable violence. More than 20,000 children have been killed in Gaza alone. Discussing his relationship with Sheeran himself, Macklemore clarified that he “considers him a brother. And because of that, we’ve had some difficult conversations this past week… As I told Ed multiple times on the phone, our friendship can’t change my responsibility to tell the truth about what happened.”

Aasif Khan questions Bigg Boss nominations

Bigg Boss then asked the housemates to assemble in room 20 for the nominations. After the housemates choosing Uditi, Qazi and Aman as the nominated contestants for eviction. But Bigg Boss had other plans. BB exposed the contestants who planned these nominations by showing their video and nominated them as a punishment. Aasif Khan then questioned the makers of Bigg Boss 20 after he was nominated for discussing nominations and breaking a house rule. Aasif expressed his frustration while speaking to Yung DSA, Rohed Khan and ScoutOp, who were also involved in the rule violation.

“Mereko game hi unfair lagne laga hai,” Aasif said, questioning why some contestants appeared to be getting preferential treatment. He argued that the decision would have been fair had all four contestants involved in the discussion been nominated. However, Yung, being the house captain, was exempted from the nomination process. Aasif then lost his temper and declared that he would even confront Bigg Boss over the decision. He said he would ask Bigg Boss to eliminate him and save Rohed instead, adding that he felt he was being deliberately targeted.

The new promo revealed how Mahhi and Aamrapali's fight hasn't ended but escalated. Mahhi and Aamrapali were at loggerheads in the kitchen. The fight began when Aamrapali revealed that she gets annoyed when someone comes in the kitchen to annoy them. Mahhi tries to clarify but then Aamrapali asks her to stay away from the kitchen when they are cooking. Mahhi walks out saying, 'You don't exist to me.' Aamrapali hits back, 'When she cooks, 16 people barely get food to eat.' Mahhi then goes out in the lawn where her friends come to ask what happened, 'Iske muh lagungi, amma ki tarah baith gayi, kabhi idhar, kabhi udhar.' Further, Mahhi broke down in tears, saying, "I don't know how to cook food, I have a cook at home who does all this for us. I'll cry for her? my foot, 2 min mein khatam kar dungi inko." Aamrapali then said, "Ask her not to come in the kitchen to spread her negativity on our food." 

It will be interesting to see now, who will support whom in this fight. Earlier as well, Mahhi was asked to shut her constant nagging. 

According to ANI, Advocate Nilesh Ojha, who is representing Disha’s father, Satish Salian, said the FIR names Shiv Sena-UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray, Rohan Roy, Rhea Chakraborty and former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh in connection with the case. Disha had worked as the manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sooraj Pancholi breaks silence on Disha Salian's case

Amid the renewed attention surrounding the case, Sooraj took to social media to address reports linking him to Disha. The actor categorically stated that he had never met her and maintained that he had no connection with or involvement in the case. His statement comes as the CBI begins its investigation into the circumstances surrounding Disha’s death.

He took to his Instagram handle and penned a long note. The carousel read, "For the last few years, my name has been dragged into the controversy surrounding the unfortunate demise of Late Disha Salian through various media reports and statements. I want to say this out loud and very clearly! I have never met Late Disha Salian in my life, directly or indirectly. I have also never met Aditya Thackeray in my life! It is honestly very unfair and extremely upsetting to see my name being dragged into something that I have absolutely nothing to do with, especially when there is no evidence or proof connecting me to this matter."

Sooraj Pancholi went on to add, "I have stayed quiet for a long time because I did not want to keep responding to every report or every story written about me. But when the same thing keeps happening again and again, there comes a point where you have to speak for yourself. Regarding this matter, I have already been investigated by the CBI /police and my statement was recorded by the agencies almost 4–5 years ago. I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE! If any investigating agency feels that they need to question me again or require any further information from me, I am completely willing to cooperate and make myself available for any investigation. All I am asking for is that the facts are checked before my name is dragged into something like this. For the unversed, advocate Nilesh Ojha said the CBI registered an FIR after examining the complaint filed by Disha Salian’s father, Satish Salian, along with his statement recorded by the agency. The FIR was filed on Monday following a Bombay High Court directive for an in-depth probe into Disha’s 2020 death.

Disha, who had worked as Sushant Singh Rajput’s manager, died after falling from the 12th floor of a building in Malad around 2:25 am on June 9, 2020. The Malwani police had registered an accidental death report and concluded that she died by suicide, finding no evidence of foul play. A state-appointed Special Investigation Team, formed in December 2023, also found no evidence of foul play in the case.

Bethlehem Kudumba Unit becomes highest-grossing Malayalam movie

The film has reportedly earned Rs 304.9 crore worldwide in just 24 days. The film became the highest-grossing Malayalam film on Sunday, September 13. Its worldwide haul places it above Lokah's reported lifetime collection of Rs 302 crore.

Notably, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, had earlier established itself as Malayalam cinema's highest-grossing film after an exceptional run in 2025. According to Sacnilk, the film's worldwide collection stood at around Rs 302 crore .

The record is particularly significant for Bethlehem Kudumba Unit because of the pace at which it has reached the milestone. The film managed to cross the Rs 300-crore mark worldwide within 24 days, highlighting the strength of its theatrical run.

The feat also marks a significant comeback for actor Nivin Pauly, who headlines the film alongside Mamitha Baiju.

Additionally,  Bethlehem Kudumba Unit's success also marks another remarkable chapter to the recent growing trend of Malayalam cinema at the box office. In the past few years, the industry has pushed its own benchmarks with films like Manjummel Boys, 2018, L2: Empuraan and Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra.

Sunita Ahuja adresses Govinda's absence from Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations

On Monday, September 14, while interacting with the paps, Sunita has addressed Govinda's absence and revealed where the actor is. During a conversation with ANI, Sunita revealed that Govinda is in America and he will come back on Monday night.

She said, “Govinda ji is in America, he'll come back at night. If he is tired, he won't come for darshan today and instead will come tomorrow. This is his house, so he has to come."

About Hanuman Ansh

Notably, Rambola will be Vishal Chaturvedi's next step into devotional cinema after the release and success of Hanuman Ansh. The film, which is currently enjoying a great run in the theatres, explores the life and spiritual journey of Neem Karoli Baba.

It is inspired by the book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life, and released in theatres on August 7, 2025. Despite receiving lukewarm response at the box office initially, the film took off in the following weeks. Its collections improved eventually during the second week and contonued to grow rapidly. It seems like the enemy troops are coming in search of the child, a prince. Unable to find a solution to save the child, the queen prays to the presiding deity of Mookuthi Amman, giving her life as an offering to the deity. Meanwhile, a woman's voice is heard saying, "I want it. Dead or alive." A man who has the ability to burn others to ashes is also seen in the teaser.

The story then shifts to the present day and age with actress Oorvasi praying to the Goddess. The teaser hints that the story will be taking place in two different time periods. Notably, Mookuthi Amman 2 is a sequel to Mookuthi Amman, which was released on OTT in 2020. 

Mookuthi Amman 2 release date

The film's November 6 release date means that it will lock horns with Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana Part 1. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is slated to release on Diwali this year. So far, no other biggie was scheduled to hit the big screens during the festival. However, the makers of Mookuthi Amman 2 announced that the movie will release during the same window.

Mookuthi Amman 2 is primarily a Tamil film, but it will be dubbed and released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The DSC noted that copyright protects expression, not ideas, especially where the complainant's work is a documentary based on a real person's publicly known life.

Reacting to the same, Sayani Gupta said, "As I had said earlier, truth will always prevail. I had respected the process and was grateful that the truth has come out. It always does. This has been the most harrowing experience of my life. But as my grandmother would often quote Tagore and say 'tomar potaka jaare dao, bohibare dao shokoti'. 'whoever you give your flag to bear, you also give them the strength to bear it".

The DSC also noted that the actress-director has filed a separate defamation suit against the complainant, in which the court has ruled in her favour. Since issues in that case overlap with the DSC complaint, the matter is now sub judice, barring the DSC from further adjudication. The proceedings have accordingly been concluded and the complaint closed at SWA's end, without prejudice to the legal rights and remedies available to either party.

The Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal is celebrating its 93rd year, with this year’s festivities beginning on September 14. As always, the iconic pandal has drawn devotees from Mumbai and beyond, with large crowds arriving to seek blessings from Lalbaugcha Raja.

In a recent conversation with NDTV, Nawazuddin was asked which film made him feel like a star. His answer was immediate, “Of course, it has to be Gangs of Wasseypur 2.” The actor then recalled just how dramatically his professional life changed following the film’s release.

“After the release of Gangs of Wasseypur 2, I received at least 200 scripts. Blank cheques were lying on my table,” Nawazuddin recalled. He said filmmakers would approach him with both a script and a blank cheque, leaving him to decide his remuneration. “People would say, ‘Here’s the script, and here’s a blank cheque. Write whatever amount you want and give us whatever dates are available,’” he said.

For an actor who had spent years waiting for substantial opportunities, it was a remarkable turnaround. Yet Nawazuddin wasn't tempted to simply sign films because the offers were lucrative or plentiful. In fact, he rejected every single script that came his way during that period.

Why Nawazuddin Siddiqui waited for the right film

Nawazuddin admitted that none of the scripts convinced him enough to commit. “I didn’t pick up a single one of those scripts because I didn’t like any of them. I decided I would wait for the right one,” he said. The decision meant turning down an opportunity many actors might have considered impossible to refuse.

“I was already used to waiting for work for years, so I thought I could wait another two or three years rather than sign something in haste,” he recalled. Fortunately, that wait did not last long. “By God’s grace, I didn’t have to wait too long, because I soon started getting some really good films,” he added.

Released in 2012, Gangs of Wasseypur 2 formed the second half of Anurag Kashyap’s sprawling crime saga set against the coal mafia backdrop of Dhanbad. With Nawazuddin’s Faizal Khan emerging as one of its memorable characters, the film became a major turning point for the actor and helped establish him as a leading name in Hindi cinema.

She said that NRIs, particularly those in the US, often hold on to their Indian identity through films and entertainment. Speaking exclusively to IANS, Preity said that geographical boundaries do not change the emotional connection audiences have with Indian cinema. She stressed that filmmakers need to respect viewers’ time and money by offering them meaningful entertainment. “I think the audience is the same worldwide. You have to give them value for their money and their time. You cannot insult the audience by promising them something and giving them something else,” she said.

The ‘Soldier’ actress also pointed out that people living outside India can sometimes feel an even stronger need to stay connected to their roots. “People that live outside India in some ways are more Indian than people that live in India. Because you want to hold on to, me included, you know. I want to hold on to what I have and not get lost in another place.”

Preity explained that people living outside India often feel a stronger need to hold on to their roots and identity. She mentioned that this is why NRIs look for a sense of “Indian-ness” in the films they watch.

“So, they definitely look for that Indian-ness,” she added.

At the same time, the ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ actress believes humour has a universal appeal and can bring audiences together, especially at a time when people are dealing with increasingly stressful lives.

“But there is no second place for humor. If humor is there and people can laugh about it and a film can entertain you without insulting your intelligence, it's an all-out winner for everybody,” she said.

“Today, more than ever, it's a high-stress society, high-stress life. There's a lot more stress. So, I think comedies are the way to go because people want to just relax and have fun,” Preity concluded.

Preity Zinta is based in Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband, Gene Goodenough, and their two children. The actress continues to travel to India for her professional commitments.

Saif Ali Khan recalls feeling lucky

Saif revealed that something as ordinary as seeing a knife can still trigger a strong reaction. “We have dealt with it remarkably well. I think the person most affected was my wife, who is generally a very sensitive person. We kind of got over it quite quickly. It was insane, though. I am still not 100 per cent over it because if I see a knife, it just makes me react,” he said.

The actor was attacked in the early hours of January 16, 2025, after an intruder entered his 12th-floor Bandra residence through the fire escape. Saif sustained six stab wounds, including a serious injury to his thoracic spinal cord. A piece of the knife was lodged in his spine and had to be removed during emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital. He was discharged five days later.

Looking back at the attack, Saif said the severity of his injuries made him realise how fortunate he was to survive. In his trademark candid manner, the actor even joked about the weapon used during the assault.

“It was the worst knife in the history of knife attacks. If he had a proper Rambo knife, I'd be dead. You poke, it can go anywhere,” he said, adding that although he was “cut everywhere”, the injuries did not prove fatal. “I can't get over how lucky I was.”

The experience also brought Saif face-to-face with his own mortality. Despite being covered in blood during the ordeal, he recalled feeling unexpectedly calm and reflecting on his life with gratitude. He said death itself did not frighten him as much as the possibility of surviving with permanent paralysis.

Saif Ali Khan’s case heads towards trial

The legal proceedings in the case are also moving forward. The accused, Mohammad Shariful Islam, was arrested two days after the attack in Thane. Police alleged that he was a Bangladeshi national living illegally in India and had been using the name Vijay Das.

A Mumbai sessions court recently refused to allow Islam to plead guilty. He had earlier pleaded not guilty when charges were framed on August 14, before seeking permission to change his plea on August 28. The court has fixed September 24 for recording evidence.

Islam faces charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to alleged armed robbery, causing grievous hurt and house-trespass, along with charges under the Foreigners Act and Passport (Entry into India) Rules.

On the work front, Saif is currently seen alongside Akshay Kumar in Priyadarshan’s Haiwaan, which also stars Shriya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher.

Ajith Kumar's video with fan goes viral

Ajith was at Silverstone for the Michelin Le Mans Cup, where his passion for motorsport took centre stage. The actor, who has continued to pursue racing alongside his film career, was representing his team at the event when the interaction reportedly took place.

In the video doing the rounds online, a fan can be seen approaching Ajith, apparently hoping to click a selfie with him. The actor looks towards him and gives what appears to be a stern glare. Actor receives backlash for his angry expression

Some users were quick to criticise Ajith, with several calling his reaction rude and questioning why he could not simply acknowledge the fan.
