Kim Kardashian shares Halloween pumpkin display

The Kar-Jenner family is known for going all out for Halloween, from elaborate costumes to lavish decorations. This time, Kim offered a look at the festive setup during her visit to a Halloween event, reportedly Calabasas’ Night of the Jack.

Among the pumpkins on display was one featuring Kim alongside Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, while another showed her sister Kourtney Kardashian with husband Travis Barker. Kim also shared a carving featuring Kylie Jenner and her boyfriend, actor Timothee Chalamet.

The pumpkins also sparked speculation about whether some of the designs could have been created using AI. However, it remains unclear whether the carvings were commissioned by Kim or were simply part of the Halloween event. Night of the Jack says thousands of pumpkins featured at the attraction are hand-carved.

Kim has not publicly addressed the reactions surrounding the decorations. Fans were also left wondering why there was no pumpkin featuring Kendall Jenner, particularly amid her much-discussed connection with Jacob Elordi.

Kylie Jenner set for acting debut

While Kylie’s pumpkin moment grabbed attention, the beauty mogul is also preparing to take a major step into scripted entertainment. According to Deadline, she is set to headline and executive produce Bachelorette Weekend, a thriller drama being developed for Hulu.

The series is based on an unpublished book by Flora Collins and has been created for television by author and screenwriter Lauren Oliver. The story follows a bachelorette weekend that takes a dark turn when the bride, played by Jenner, is found murdered in a pool, leaving her closest friends as suspects.

Kim Kardashian is also attached as an executive producer. The project marks Kylie’s first major acting role and follows her recent interest in the film world, including a cameo in Charli XCX’s The Moment. Jenner is also a star and executive producer on Hulu’s The Kardashians, which returns for its eighth season on October 8.

Nicole Kidman joins her viral song trend

The moment got even more entertaining when Kidman, the woman at the centre of the song, joined the trend alongside some of the biggest names in the Chanel front row.

The video captures Kidman, Lipa, Pascal and Wiig letting loose as the song plays, with the four stars appearing to have fun with the unexpected tribute. Pascal and Lipa had already been seen enjoying the music at the show, while Kidman was filmed dancing along to Britney Spears’ Gimme More during the event.

The Chanel appearance also brought together three stars with an interesting Hollywood connection. Kidman, Pascal and Wiig have all appeared in major productions, while Lipa has increasingly moved between music, fashion and acting.

For Pascal and Wiig, the reunion also had a Wonder Woman connection. The two actors played the film’s antagonists, with Wiig portraying Cheetah and Pascal taking on the role of businessman-turned-villain Maxwell Lord.

ADELA’s viral Nicole Kidman song

ADELA’s Nicole Kidman has become a pop-culture tribute to the Oscar-winning actor. Rather than simply telling Kidman’s story, the song uses her name as shorthand for glamour, confidence and cinematic star power.
The track’s music video takes inspiration from several of Kidman’s best-known films, including Eyes Wide Shut, Moulin Rouge!, Birth and Babygirl, along with her much-discussed AMC cinema advertisement. The Babygirl reference is particularly notable as the 2024 film saw Kidman play Romy, a powerful businesswoman who explores a hidden side of her sexuality and desires.

With Kidman herself now joining Lipa, Pascal and Wiig for the trend, the song has achieved perhaps its most fitting celebrity cameo yet, turning a song about the actor into a real-life Nicole Kidman moment.

In a statement released on the matter, the studio shared, “Production on The Batman Part II has been temporarily paused while Matt Reeves focuses on a family matter. Matt has the full support of DC Studios, and we look forward to continuing the journey soon.”

Prior to the pause, the shooting of ‘The Batman Part II’ had been underway in London, with the release scheduled for February 18, 2028. It is yet to be seen if the production pause will have an effect on the film’s release date.

With Robert Pattinson in the lead role as Batman, the film also features Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell returning as Alfred and Penguin. Latest additions to the sequel are Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Jayme Lawson, Charles Dance, Gil Perez-Abraham and Sebastian Koch.

Speaking about the sequel, Pattinson previously teased a major change in tone and approach for 'The Batman: Part II', describing the upcoming sequel as “a real left turn” from the 2022 film while saying it retains elements of the original’s feel.

“It’s so ambitious,” he said, adding, “I mean, I sort of said the other day on something that the first one was a different take on a Batman movie, and this one is another… It’s a real left turn from the first one, but somehow it keeps elements of the kind of feel of it. But it just feels really ambitious, and I’m excited to see how it turns out.”

Pattinson, who first portrayed Bruce Wayne in the 2022 film ‘The Batman’, addressed speculation about his character joining Gunn’s DCU in an interview. “I think it would be kind of tough to have this version of Bruce outside of that world,” Pattinson said.

The actor explained that playing the character requires a deep commitment because of the film’s lengthy production process and its darker atmosphere. “It’s one of the only characters, I guess, because of the length of the shoots, but also it’s such a specific kind of [style]; the tone of it gets inside you,” he said, Variety reported.

The couple have been dating since late 2022, while Liu proposed to Hsu in May 2025 during their Paris trip. Well, neither Liu nor Hsu has publicly confirmed their wedding so far.

Simu Liu and Allison Hsu's engagement

In May, Simu and Liu announced their engagement by sharing a series of romantic pictures on Instagram. In a collaborative post, Simu gave a sneak peek of his dreamy proposal, captioning it, "From weekends in Paris, day trips to Palm Springs, long nights on set, afternoons vegging on the couch and everything in between, I choose you forever and always."

Simu on becoming a father one day

After his engagement, Simu candidly shared his plans of starting a family. The actor, who dubbed his voice for Netflix's animated film, revealed that the film had him thoughts of becoming a father one day.

While speaking to People, he said, "This movie, and this role in particular, has made me think a lot about how I want to show up as a dad and parent."

"I'm very excited about getting married and all the steps along that process," he further added.

Simu on the work front

Professionally, Liu is set to reprise his role as Shang-Chi in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, marking his return to the character after 2021's Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings. The Marvel film is slated to hit theatres on December 18.

In conversation with People at San Diego Comic-Con, the actor shared the feeling of working with Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen, who return as Professor X and Magneto respectively.

“For me, it's Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen... not just for their roles in 'X-Men,' which are so iconic, but I grew up just a massive 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' super-nerd and 'Lord of the Rings' as well," Liu said.

"So just getting to talk to them, getting to hang on set with them in between takes, it was the most starstruck I've ever been," he added.

Josh Heuston helps Mika Abdalla in Paris

The actor offered Abdalla his hand and helped her safely make her way into the venue. The brief moment between the two quickly caught attention, especially as it came during their first official public appearance together amid months of romance rumours.

Abdalla and Heuston, who play Allie Hayes and Justin Kohl in the hockey romance series, arrived at the Valentino show together and were seen holding hands. Once inside, the pair appeared relaxed as they smiled and chatted while heading towards their front-row seats.

Abdalla made a statement in a flowing lime-yellow chiffon dress featuring a lilac flower detail, while Heuston opted for a white open-knit sweater with grey trousers and a statement belt. Both carried books, complementing the literary setting of the show at Paris' historic Bibliotheque Sainte-Genevieve.

Another video from the event showed Abdalla leaning towards Heuston and whispering in his ear, adding to the buzz around the pair. But it was the moment outside the venue that particularly caught fans’ attention, with Heuston immediately reaching out when Abdalla appeared to lose her footing while stepping down from the van.

Mika Abdalla, Josh Heuston fuel dating rumours

The actors’ appearance comes after months of speculation about their relationship. Romance rumours first surfaced in June 2026 after the pair were reportedly spotted getting close during a trip to Paris. They were also seen together in Vancouver in August, further fuelling speculation.

Abdalla was previously engaged to actor Jake Short, whom she met while working on Sex Appeal in 2021. The couple got engaged in 2025 but ended their relationship in June 2026. Her representative confirmed the split to Us Weekly, saying the two continued to support each other and remained on friendly terms.

Meanwhile, Abdalla is set to return as a series regular for the second season of Off Campus.

Avengers: Endgame leads at the box office

According to Box Office Mojo, Avengers: Endgame has now collected approximately Rs 2,81,337 crore worldwide, narrowly overtaking Avatar, which stands at approximately Rs 2,81,155 crore. The gap between the two films remains slim, making this the latest closely fought box-office battle.

The latest boost came from Avengers: Endgame Encore, which returned to cinemas ahead of Marvel’s next major crossover, Avengers: Doomsday. The re-release gave the 2019 blockbuster a fresh theatrical run and added significantly to its already record-breaking haul.

In the US, Endgame Encore opened to USD 26.1 million in its first weekend. Its second weekend saw a drop, with the film adding another USD 4.4 million. Globally, the re-release has earned USD 126 million so far, including USD 36.2 million from North America and USD 89.8 million from international markets.

China has emerged as one of its strongest overseas territories, contributing USD 21.3 million and making the Marvel film the country's biggest non-local release during this run. The re-release has also topped other non-local films in markets including Indonesia, Vietnam, Ecuador and Bolivia.

India has contributed Rs 36.5 crore to the latest run. Other strong markets include Mexico, which has delivered USD 6.1 million, and Brazil, with USD 3.1 million.

Avengers: Endgame beats Avatar before Doomsday

This is not the first time Endgame has held the global record. The Anthony and Joe Russo-directed film crossed the finish line ahead of Avatar in 2019, becoming the first movie to surpass Cameron's film. Avatar later returned to the top following a re-release, reclaiming the crown from Marvel.

Now, Endgame is back at No. 1 just months before the next major chapter in the MCU. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to release on December 18, the same day as Dune: Part Three. With both films expected to draw large audiences, Marvel has already turned its next theatrical showdown into a box-office conversation, even before Doomsday reaches cinemas.

The actor recently appeared on the chat show ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’. The show host shared a recent incident when he watched ‘Rocky’ with his daughter.

He said, “2 months ago, before we even knew that you were booked on the show, I said, told my daughter, ‘You got to watch this movie. Rocky is one of my favorite movies, one of my favorite actors’. I recently watched the film with my 13-year-old. She loved it. And as you're working out and you're running and you go up the steps and you're out of breath the first time, she goes, ‘Look. He's got nothing going on. She goes, look, he's out of breath. He can't even make the steps’. And I'm like, ‘You're falling right into the trap. I can't wait till it pays off in the end’. He's got to work hard. I love it. I thought it was such a great movie. And obviously it changed everything. But there's so many stories about the film”.

The actor responded, “Jimmy, everyone has a story. And unfortunately, a lot of people aren't able to tell their story. And the opportunity presented itself”.

The actor shared that life has its share of good and bad days, but one has to keep moving forward, as he said, “I've been around a long time, a lot of ups and downs. And I thought I got to pass on some of these adventures and maybe you'll get some sort of instruction out of it. Like you're not alone. Life is tough and you got to keep punching”.

The 'Rocky' franchise is considered one of the greatest franchises. The actor's story is documented in the upcoming film ‘I Play Rocky’. The film is a biopic on Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone, and traces his journey from being a nobody to becoming one of the greatest action stars of Hollywood owing to his work in the franchise. Long before his character of Rocky Balboa became a global cultural icon, Sylvester Stallone was a struggling actor with little money, few opportunities and one unwavering belief, that he could write and star in a story that would change his life. ‘I Play Rocky’ takes audiences behind the scenes of that extraordinary chapter.

Joking about her failed relationships, Johnson said, “I have really good friends. They don’t judge me; they’re really supportive. Ladies and gentlemen, my literal therapist,” after which Swift appeared onscreen, as per Variety.

“I’m not your therapist, actually. You just show up once a week at my house with an empty bottle of wine and ask if I want some… You flop on my couch and overshare, and every so often I say ‘Damn, that’s crazy,'” Swift continued. “And then you say,” the ‘Love Story’ singer said.

As Johnson playfully remarked, “Sleepover, yay!”, Taylor Swift quipped, “Then I give you Pedialyte and my security drives you home.” The monologue then returned to Johnson’s dating life, alongside jokes about her “tight latex dress” and the failure of ‘Madame Web’.

“What else has happened since the last time I hosted? Well, I went through two very public, very lame breakups with two very awesome musicians. Looking for a third. Some of them don’t wear shoes, some of them are terrible in bed, but all of them are in my DMs.

It’s not my fault, though. Some people leave concerts with merch, and I leave concerts with a two-and-a-half-year relationship,” Johnson said. Swift’s surprise appearance could be subtly described as a sweet little payback to Johnson for appearing in her ‘Patient Zero’ music video.

The video, which premiered last Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards, features Johnson and Colin Farrell as an upper-class couple whose marriage is shown on the skids.

Swift then appears as a spectral figure who tries to warn Johnson. Meanwhile, on Saturday Night Live, the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer returned at the end of the show to present the ‘Verity’ star with a cake, as Johnson celebrates her 37th birthday on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the actress has been having the time of her life on the personal front as well. She recently celebrated her birthday. Earlier, she took to her Instagram, and shared a series of pictures and videos from her birthday celebrations.

In the pictures, the singer can be seen in the company of her husband, British actor Callum Turner. One of the pictures in the post showcases the couple displaying PDA. In other pictures, the singer can be seen having a good time with delectable food and other activities.

The couple dated for around two years before tying the nuptial knot. They first sparked romance rumours in early 2024 and made their relationship public later that year. The singer confirmed their engagement in June 2025. The couple held an intimate civil ceremony at London’s Old Marylebone Town Hall on May 31, 2026, surrounded by close friends and family. They followed it with a lavish celebration in Sicily.

Instead, the actor has chosen to stand by the film, as he shared behind-the-scenes pictures and also thanked the team for their work.

Cruise shared a post on his Instagram account to and expressed his thoughts on the Alejandro G.
Iñárritu-directed film, which opened in theatres on Friday. The movie, made on a reported budget of USD 125 million, is expected to earn around USD 8 million in its opening weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sharing pictures from the shoot, Cruise thanked the cast and crew for their work and said he was proud of the film they made together.

"Digger is officially in theaters and I am so honored to have had the opportunity to create this film alongside such talented artists," Cruise posted. "Thank you to the entire cast and crew for your dedication, hard work and joy. The experience was truly unforgettable and I'm so proud of what we created."

Warner Bros. released 'Digger' in around 3,300 theatres across North America. The film follows an egotistical oil tycoon whose actions lead to a natural disaster. Riz Ahmed, John Goodman and Sandra Hüller also star in the film.

However, the film has had a difficult start at the box office. It received a C+ CinemaScore from audiences and currently has a 51 per cent approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The film also sees Cruise in a different role from the action-heavy projects he is known for. In 'Digger', the actor plays a balding and heavier oil tycoon, marking a shift from his recent franchise films.

The film takes Cruise back to the kind of filmmaker-led projects he worked on earlier in his career, including 'Rain Man', 'Born on the Fourth of July' and 'Magnolia'.

Cruise is expected to return to action films soon, with 'Days of Thunder 2' set to begin production.

Meanwhile, Amazon MGM Studios' 'Verity', starring Anne Hathaway, is expected to lead the domestic box office with around USD 33 million. 'Digger' could give Cruise his lowest opening weekend since 2007's 'Lions for Lambs', which opened with USD 6.7 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Verity opening box office in India

Despite the popularity of the book and the attention around its casting, Verity registered an estimated Rs 1.89 crore net in India on its opening day, according to Sacnilk. Its India gross collection stood at around Rs 2.12 crore. The film’s reported worldwide gross was also Rs 2.12 crore at the time of the figures, with a separate overseas breakdown not available.

The opening gives Verity a relatively quiet start in the Indian market. The film’s theatrical performance will also depend on how it fares in international territories, particularly given its Hollywood production scale.

Verity reportedly carries a budget of around USD 40 million, making its initial India haul a small portion of the film’s overall production cost. However, its theatrical run is still in its early stages, and overseas collections will be an important part of determining its broader box-office performance.

Dakota Johnson, Anne Hathaway lead Verity

The film has also generated attention because of its lead cast. Anne Hathaway plays the titular author, while Johnson takes on the role of Lowen Ashleigh, with Hartnett portraying Jeremy Crawford.

Based on Hoover’s novel, Verity follows struggling writer Lowen Ashleigh, who receives an unusual assignment from Jeremy Crawford, the husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford.

Verity is unable to continue writing after suffering a serious injury, prompting Jeremy to bring Lowen in to finish the remaining books in his wife’s successful series. Lowen moves into the Crawford family home to study Verity’s work and prepare to take over the writing.

However, her stay takes an unsettling turn when she comes across a disturbing manuscript containing revelations that appear to expose secrets surrounding the Crawford family. As Lowen becomes increasingly drawn into the household, the line between Verity’s writing and reality begins to blur.

The film marks another major release for Hathaway in an unusually busy 2026. She has already appeared in five movies this year and has now disappeared to go on her maternity break. For Johnson, Verity adds another high-profile thriller to her recent filmography.

With its opening weekend now underway, the film’s subsequent collections will determine whether word of mouth can help push its theatrical run beyond its modest Day 1 start in India.

The franchise star Vin Diesel, who shared that a ‘Fast & Furious’ scripted series was in development during the May upfront presentation, will serve as an executive producer along with Race’s Sam Vincent, Original Film’s Neal H Moritz and Pavun Shetty, and Jeff Kirschenbaum and Chris Morgan Productions’ Chris Morgan. Further, Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman will serve as co-showrunners, pilot writers, and executive producers.

Peacock is looking forward to premiering the ‘Fast & Furious’ series by 2028. It is expected to coincide with the next film instalment, ‘Fast Forever’, which has been slated to hit theatres on March 17, 2028. At the upfront in May, Diesel had shared, “For the last decade, we have realised that the fans have wanted more. They wanted us to expand the legacy characters, their stories.

And for the last decade, the desire has been for us to enter the TV space that Fallon has mastered. And I had to wait till it was right… It became right when Donna Langley started to oversee it all, because that’s when I knew that the integrity of the characters, the international appeal, what makes us all feel like family would be protected in the TV space… The news that I have here today is that Peacock is launching four shows from the ‘Fast and Furious’ universe.” Previously in TV, Netflix aired the animated series ‘Fast & Furious Spy Racers’ for six seasons between 2019 and 2021.

Earlier in August, Vin Diesel shared a major update on the upcoming film instalment of the franchise. In an interview with Variety, he revealed that shooting for 'Fast Forever' will begin in December. "We start shooting in December, if I can make good on the request from the studio. I'm in a good place, though.

I had to go through four sets of writers, four years of development, to get to something that I felt would be worthy of a finale. And when I read the script a couple of weeks ago, [I cried]," he said. Inside the screening, Diesel addressed the audience before the lights dimmed and shared more details about how the "Fast Forever" script brought him to tears, as per Variety. "I'm going to tell you something personal," he said.

"It was after four different writers, four years of development, and after I read the script, halfway through, one tear. By the end of the script that we crafted and worked so hard to make right for you after four years, I was crying. I couldn't hold it back, and I had to tell everyone. And my sister said, 'No more crying, bro.' So I just want to say that sometimes, even the toughest guys in the world need to cry."

‘Fast Forever’ - the 11th and final mainline film in the series, hits theatres on March 17, 2028. ‘Fast & Furious’ is Universal's longest-running franchise and its most profitable, with a combined worldwide gross of USD 7.3 billion.

Anne Hathaway keeps her promise to disappear

In the clip, recorded ahead of the film’s September 29 premiere, Hathaway begins by talking about heading to the Verity premiere and its October 2 release. She then mentions October 3, only for a dramatic animated cloud of smoke to cover the screen and make her vanish.

The video then cuts to mock headlines announcing Hathaway’s disappearance, including references to her evaporating in a plume of smoke. The tongue-in-cheek video was Hathaway’s way of following through on a promise she had made earlier.

Hathaway had already warned fans that she would be taking a break after completing her fifth press tour of the year. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight on September 21, she joked about her plans after Verity hit theatres.

“The movie comes out October 2, and on October 3 I’m going to, like, vanish in a plume of smoke and you’re not gonna see me until you have to,” she had said. The timing also comes as Hathaway, 43, prepares for the arrival of her third child with husband Adam Shulman. She announced her pregnancy in June, making her 2026 schedule particularly eventful.

Anne Hathaway reflects on her busy 2026

Hathaway’s year has seen her appear in five films, including Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2, The Odyssey, The End of Oak Street and Verity. With each project bringing its own promotional campaign, the actor previously admitted that maintaining such a visible presence came with some apprehension.

Speaking on CBS Mornings, Hathaway acknowledged that audiences were seeing a lot of her throughout the year. “It’s a lot, and you want to be able to show up fully for each film,” she said, adding that she wondered whether viewers might get tired of seeing her so frequently.

However, she ultimately chose to look at the situation positively. “What if it goes better than you’d imagine?” she recalled telling herself.

With Verity now out, Hathaway appears ready to trade premieres and press appearances for some much-needed time away from the public eye. Signing off her playful Instagram announcement, she thanked audiences for their support and described the year as “incredible” and “unforgettable.” Verity is currently screening in theatres.

Anne Hathaway's viral red carpet moment

The now-viral moment unfolded at Tuesday’s premiere of Verity in New York, where Hathaway stood at the red carpet between co-stars Dakota Johnson and Ismael Cruz Cordova. In the video, she is seen instructing photographers on where the cast would look.

Anne Hathaway explains how she saw a chaotic red carpet and apparently decided someone had to take charge.

With photographers struggling to organize the huge group, she stepped in and started counting everyone into position.

“We are going to start from the left, and then we can make our way that way,” she said while pointing towards the photographers as she counted. After Anne was done, Johnson joked, “And then I’m gonna leave.”

The clip soon went viral on social media, with many users calling her a “red carpet traffic cop”. Hathaway, who is pregnant with her third child with husband Adam Shulman, attended the premiere looking gorgeous in a strapless Prabal Gurung gown that highlighted her baby bump.

Anne Hathaway apologises

During her recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, the actor addressed the viral video and said she was sure that the host would bring up the topic.

The 43-year-old explained that she was only trying to help since the photographers stationed at the red carpet were becoming frustrated. “There were so many of us and the photographers were getting upset, and the vibe was changing,” she told Fallon. She also recalled that her immediate reaction once the moment was over was, “Oh, no.”

Further addressing the viral clip, Hathaway apologised, saying, “I apologise, everybody. That girl came out to play last night. Actually, she didn’t come to play. She came for business.”

During her conversation with the popular host, Hathaway also opened up about her third pregnancy, revealing that acne and an unusually strong sense of smell had been among her main symptoms. She shared, “First trimester, my goal was not to dry heave in public. Third trimester, my goal is not to waddle in public."

Olivier Martinez alleges Halle Berry abused son

The order temporarily limits Berry’s time with Maceo to court-ordered visitation, reportedly allowing her to see him two days a week and every other weekend. She has also been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Martinez. A hearing in the case is scheduled for October 16, according to TMZ.

Martinez’s allegations stem from an alleged altercation between Berry and Maceo on September 26. According to court documents cited by People and TMZ, the incident reportedly began while Maceo was playing a video game. Martinez claimed Berry became upset with their son and physically attacked him.

In his filing, Martinez alleged that Berry “physically abused our son, Maceo, by jumping on him, putting her hands around his neck, and choking him.” He further claimed that the incident left their son distressed and that it was not an isolated occurrence.

“While the September 26, 2026, incident in which Petitioner choked our son is the latest incident of abuse, I contend that there have been other instances of abuse over the course of the last few years,” Martinez stated in the filing, as reported by People.

The actor also included alleged text exchanges with Berry following the incident. One message attributed to the actress read, “He is disrespectful to me and feels I have no say on anything. I’m just moneybags! This is wrong and wrong!”

Halle Berry’s lawyer denies allegations

Berry’s legal team has rejected Martinez’s claims. Her attorney Marina Beck told TMZ that the filing was “entirely meritless and deliberately misleading,” while alleging that Martinez had previously violated court orders and interfered with therapeutic and educational interventions involving Maceo.

Beck also accused Martinez of having a history of “erratic, possessive and violent behaviour” and said Berry would continue to focus on her son’s well-being.

Berry and Martinez met while working on the film Dark Tide in 2013. They married that year and separated in 2015, with their divorce finalised in 2023 after a lengthy legal process.

Sharing with mid-day his experience of filming it, Cruise said, “There is this rhythm in Alejandro’s communication and creation that you have to feel, and it’s so much fun when you’re living in it. I couldn’t wait to do that 10-minute monologue, just to play the character in that way with Alejandro’s staging and Chivo’s [Emmanuel ‘Chivo’ Lubezki, cinematographer] camera movements. It was a tightrope act for all of us. It wasn’t daunting. I loved the intensity and the level of creativity.”

Tom Cruise in Digger

In Digger, Cruise plays the titular role, a larger-than-life oil tycoon whose carefully controlled world is under threat due to an ecological crisis. This scene, a judgment day of sorts for the protagonist, is the movie’s “spine” according to Iñárritu. So, it’s not surprising that the director and his team of writers wrote 70 versions.

“We had maybe 70 different versions of the monologue as we wrote the script over nine years, because it was always the heart, the spine, and the mirror of the film. There are so many ways of expressing it, and so many lateral ideas connected to the same discussion about what we want reality to be and what it is,” reflected Iñárritu.

If the Oscar-winning director made the sequence shine on paper, Cruise brought it alive on camera, giving him multiple takes before he was satisfied. “The first takes were good, and I kept giving him notes — seven or 12 at a time. On the fourth take, Tom nailed it. Absolute perfection! I said, ‘That’s it.’ Tom said, ‘What do you mean? We still have to shoot the coverage.’ I said, ‘There is no coverage. You will not perform it better, and we will not shoot it better’,” he said.

Did you know?

Alejandro G Iñárritu is one of three filmmakers to have consecutively won the Oscar for Best Director. He won it for ‘Birdman’ in 2015, and ‘The Revenant’ in 2016

The actor previously had said that she had an abortion when she was younger, and that her weight gain made her boyfriend and her realise that there were consequences to not using contraception.

Stone recently appeared on Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson’s podcast, and said, “‘Is that man bothering you? Get over here.’ That was the extent of the conversation [about sex education with my mom]. Imagine you’re 17, in college, my boyfriend was 23. He didn’t have any knowledge that I should have some kind of birth control and I had no [idea either].”

The actor, 68,  said, “No one told me this is how you have your period. They didn’t test tampons on human blood until 2026. They tested female hormones on men because it was more consistent. And now we don’t want to give women care, we want to prosecute women for having a miscarriage? What bulls*** is this?”

Obama then joked about how different the world could be if men could get pregnant. Stone quipped, “If men could get pregnant, you could get an abortion from a vending machine.”

The actor, 64, recently appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show, and discussed his latest movie, 'Digger', in which he essays the role of an oil barron.

He also danced through the show's signature Spirit Tunnel. When asked by Jennifer whether he enjoyed the experience, the 'Mission: Impossible' star said, "I loved it. They had to pull me out of the spirit tunnel. I wanted to dance with more people. But I loved it. If you can't enjoy the spirit tunnel, you're not alive".

The actor mimicked choreography from the famous scene in 'Risky Business', where his character of Joel Goodsen, danced around in his underwear to 'Old Time Rock and Roll' by Bob Seger.

He also spoke about the film, as he told the show host, "I remember shooting it, I remember every frame of shooting this [scene]. I remember the director, Paul Brickman, giving me the opening frame, and I was like, 'I got you, you know. I know where to go".

"Of course I did this as a kid; it was natural for me. I used to dance around in my underwear when no one was there. Doesn't everyone do that?", he added.

The 'Top Gun' star went on to discuss working on 'Digger' in which he plays Digger Rockwell, who endeavors to save the world from natural disaster and has a one-eyed senior cat named Maggie.

"This character is outrageous. He says things that people may think about, don't say out loud, things that they've never thought about and didn't expect anything like that to come out loud. It's just an amazing character and (the) twists and turns of it", he added.

'Digger' is set to release in cinemas on October 2, 2026.

Verity gets 23 seconds cut

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the CBFC’s Examining Committee had asked the makers to “suitably modify” intimate visuals and remove explicit portions from the film. This led to 23 seconds of footage being cut from the final film. Notably, much of the deleted footage reportedly comes from the film’s widely discussed intimate sequence, wherein Hathaway and Johnson are seen making out.

Earlier, while speaking about the kissing scene, Dakota, during a recent conversation with Extra TV,  joked that she would be more than happy to repeat the experience. “I would kiss Annie for the rest of my life. Every day. If you need me, I’m there,” she said.

The board also ordered the anti-smoking and anti-alcohol static warnings to be added wherever applicable. Similarly, the board also removed visuals of an e-cigarette and asked the makers to blur a medicine brand name. Consequently, the final runtime of the film has been locked at 118 minutes and 41 seconds.

The psychological thriller was cleared by the CBFC on September 29, ahead of its October 2 theatrical release. Ahead of the release, the paid previews of the film are scheduled for October 1.

About Verity

Based on Colleen Hoover’s 2018 novel, Verity is directed by Michael Showalter. The film follows the story of Lowen Ashleigh, played by Dakota Johnson, a struggling writer hired to complete injured author Verity Crawford, played by Anne Hathaway's bestselling series.

However, Lowen's stay with the Crawford family takes a disturbing turn when she discovers a hidden manuscript including shocking revelations about Verity’s past. While she navigates through the disturbing and twisted confessions about Verity's husband, she soon finds it difficult to separate fiction from reality, manipulation from attraction, and opportunity from obsession. The film also stars Josh Hartnett as Jeremy Crawford, Verity's husband, along with Ismael Cruz Córdova and Brady Wagner.

The Man with the Bag teaser

The teaser introduces Schwarzenegger’s Santa as a larger-than-life character who has plenty of mystery around him. When asked if he knows someone, he introduces himself with a playful line, “Chris Kindle, why not man? Christmas man. That's what the dogs call me.” The joke quickly gives way to the film’s central problem when Santa reveals that his magical bag has been stolen. “This Christmas, my bag was stolen by a very naughty elf,” he says in the teaser, setting the stage for an unusual rescue mission.

Schwarzenegger’s casting marks his return to the Christmas movie space after three decades. This time, however, he is not playing the tough guy who has to save the day alone. With Christmas hanging in the balance, Santa turns to someone from his Naughty List for help.

Alan Ritchson plays Vance, a thief recruited by Santa to recover the stolen bag. Vance then puts together a crew of unlikely criminals and misfits to pull off what could be the most important heist of their lives. The group will have help from Santa’s elves and reindeer as they attempt to get the magical bag back before the holiday deadline.

The story also introduces a rogue elf, played by Awkwafina, who is responsible for stealing Santa’s iconic red bag. Her actions put Christmas at risk just as Santa’s busiest night of the year approaches.

The Man with the Bag brings a Christmas heist

Directed by Adam Shankman and written by Allan Rice, The Man with the Bag combines action, comedy and Christmas fantasy. The film also stars Berkeley James, Michael Cyril Creighton, Liza Koshy, Kyle Mooney, Jane Krakowski and Ken Jeong.

Rather than relying solely on festive cheer, the film uses a heist as its central hook, bringing together characters who would be more at home on the wrong side of the law than at Santa’s workshop. The unlikely partnership between Santa and Vance is expected to drive much of the film’s humour and heart. The teaser ends with Schwarzenegger embracing his new identity, declaring, “I'm Santa Claus.”

The Man with the Bag premieres globally on Prime Video on December 2, 2026.

Directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Digger strikes a chord with its deceptively simple premise. Digger Rockwell’s drilling operation in the Arctic triggers an ecological disaster when a gigantic chunk of ice breaks away and threatens catastrophic consequences. His scientist, Ganesh played by Riz Ahmed, has been constantly warning him about the dangers, but Digger isn't quite interested in any kind of accountability. His instinct is to take charge, control the narrative and, naturally, position himself as the man capable of fixing the mess.

That's exactly where the film finds its funniest contradiction. Digger is ambitious of being the hero for the disaster that he created. Cruise completely embraces the ridiculousness of it. His physical transformation is exactly what the character requires, but it is his performance that keeps the character from becoming a one-note caricature. Digger Rockwell is a man who is loud, arrogant and deeply convinced of his own importance. Cruise plays him with such commitment that the character becomes an exaggerated extension of the actor’s own larger-than-life screen persona.

The film’s supporting cast adds to this grand madness. Riz Ahmed brings a nervous, grounded energy as the scientist attempting to make Digger understand the scale of the crisis, while John Goodman leans into the film’s political absurdity. Sandra Huller and Jesse Plemons fail to get a chance to prove their prowess in this male dominant world created by Alejandro.

Digger is loud, surreal and deliberately excessive. Emmanuel Lubezki’s cinematography gives the film an imposing scale, while the production design turns Digger’s world into a visual representation of wealth, excess and paranoia. And yet, this excess is also its biggest weakness. The satire keeps making an obvious appearance rather than letting the viewers discover it. The scenes constantly seem to be stretched, performances keep getting pushed while the ideas are repeated until some of its humour begins to disappear under the weight of the film’s own ambition.

Digger's world isn't dull at all, the film's unpredictable behaviour is the biggest appeal, right when the viewer feels the narrative has finally settled, another disaster awaits. The narrative keeps making constant jump cuts between the expected and unexpected, which prevents Digger from being predictable. What works in the film's favour is its central idea of what happens when the one responsible for the disaster insists on becoming the face of the solution?. Digger sees himself as an opportunist who has money, influence and determination to save everyone else, but never a villain in his own story.

Digger isn't a controlled film. Parts of it are messy, overstuffed and occasionally overpowered with its own cleverness. But there is something refreshing about a major Hollywood film willing to be this bizarre. And Cruise, by stepping so far away from his familiar action-hero image, gives the film its most unpredictable element. You might not agree with Digger's ideology but you simple can't ignore it either.

Chris Evans faces Anya Taylor-Joy in Sacrifice

Set against the backdrop of a lavish gathering attended by celebrities, billionaires and other high-profile guests, Sacrifice follows movie star Mike Tyler, played by Evans. What begins as an extravagant evening takes a sinister turn when Mike is targeted by a radical cult leader, portrayed by Taylor-Joy, who believes sacrificing him could help save the world.

Mike Tyler finds himself at the centre of a crisis when the glamorous gala is disrupted by the cult leader and her followers. With the guests suddenly caught in an unpredictable situation, the movie shifts from red-carpet glamour to a desperate struggle for survival.

Taylor-Joy plays the woman behind the bizarre plan, bringing her character into direct conflict with Chris Evans’ movie star. Salma Hayek is also part of the central cast, while Vincent Cassel, John Malkovich, Sam Richardson, Ambika Mod, Charli XCX, Yung Lean, Jade Croot and Miriam Silverman feature in supporting roles.

Rather than treating its premise as a conventional action thriller, Sacrifice combines danger with an irreverent sense of humour. Its story also plays with the contrast between public image and private conviction, placing a group of wealthy and famous guests in circumstances they cannot control.

Romain Gavras makes English-language debut

For Gavras, known for films including Athena as well as his work directing music videos, Sacrifice marks his English-language feature debut. The filmmaker brings his visually distinctive style to a story that moves between extravagant settings, violent confrontations and absurd situations.

Describing his approach to the film, Gavras said, “Cinema, for me, is the attempt to wrestle meaning from a world I don’t understand, a world that’s absurd, beautiful, petty, violent, and full of grace, often all in the same frame.” He added that the film is intended to capture a sense of chaos and uncertainty, describing it as an invitation to “stop dancing and jump.”

With Evans, Taylor-Joy and Hayek leading its ensemble, Sacrifice promises a blend of action, dark comedy and satire when it arrives on Lionsgate Play in India on October 16.

Jim Carrey marries Min Ah

On Wednesday, September 30, a spokesperson for Bruce Almighty star Jim Carrey, 64, confirmed to PEOPLE that the actor has married his longtime girlfriend, Min Ah. TMZ reports that the couple exchanged vows in a small, private ceremony in Los Angeles. Notably, the couple has a 32-year age gap.

The wedding comes seven months after the pair were photographed together in France at the César Awards. During the ceremony, Carrey referred to Min Ah as his “companion.” The Mask star and his girlfriend have been dating since 2022. However, much detail about their love life is not available.

At the awards show, he said, “Thank you to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson. I love you now and forever. Thank you to my sublime companion, Min Ah,” he said in French, as his daughter, grandson, and girlfriend received ovations from the crowd. “I love you, Min Ah. And finally, thank you to the funniest man I have ever known: my father, Percy Joseph Carrey, who taught me the value of love, generosity, and laughter.”

Jim Carrey’s previous relationships

The actor has been married twice before. He and Melissa Womer, with whom he shares Jane, were married from 1987 to 1995. In 1996, Carrey married Dumb and Dumber costar Lauren Holly, but they split the following year.

Carrey has also had relationships with famous women, including Jenny McCarthy, Renée Zellweger, Linda Ronstadt, and January Jones.

Professionally, Jim Carrey received the honorary award at the 51st edition of France's Cesar Award ceremony. Carrey, born in Canada, began his career as a stand-up comedian before he gained popularity on the TV show In Living Color. In 1994, he became a worldwide star with three back-to-back hits: Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Mask, and Dumb and Dumber, reported Deadline.

He was later praised for his roles in The Truman Show, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Man on the Moon, winning two Golden Globe Awards.

Nicolas Cage questions modern superhero films

Cage made it clear that his comments came “with love” before explaining what he finds difficult about the genre. “When I see these 50-plus and otherwise intelligent and remarkably gifted thespians putting on these ridiculous outfits and getting ready for the fight, let’s face it, it’s all cutting to the fight, it’s hard for me not to be reminded that the MCU is becoming a well-funded and glorified WWE,” he said.

Cage’s criticism centres on what he sees as the increasing emphasis on elaborate costumes and large-scale fight sequences in superhero projects. His comparison to WWE comes from his observation that many of these films ultimately build towards highly choreographed confrontations between costumed characters.

While Cage has never appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe itself, his connection to Marvel stretches back years. He played Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider, in Ghost Rider and returned for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance in 2012.

Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Noir connection

His more recent superhero outing came with Sony’s Spider-Noir, where he played Ben Reilly, a down-on-his-luck private investigator operating in 1930s New York. The eight-episode series presented the Spider-Man character through a period noir lens and was cancelled after its first season. Interestingly, Cage has previously said that it was the noir element that attracted him to the project rather than simply its connection to Marvel.

Ahead of Spider-Noir, Cage revealed that he wanted to draw inspiration from classic Hollywood performers including Humphrey Bogart, James Cagney and Edward G. Robinson. He described his approach as combining the style of old-school cinema with Stan Lee’s Spider-Man, comparing the result to a Roy Lichtenstein-style pop-art experiment.

Taking on a television series was also unfamiliar territory for the actor. Cage admitted that he initially wondered whether his interpretation would work and even feared he could be fired before completing the project.

Meanwhile, Cage’s earlier Marvel role is heading back to the MCU, with Ryan Gosling set to play Ghost Rider in an upcoming Marvel Studios film. Directed by Shawn Levy, the project is currently scheduled to release on July 28, 2028.

Chris Hemsworth lauds daughter India

On Wednesday, the actor took to Instagram and shared two videos of his daughter, India Rose Hemsworth, bull riding. He also penned a heartfelt note for his daughter in the caption, as he wrote, “Just wanna say my daughter is a savage. Only girl in the comp and took home the win. Proud moment (sic).” In the first video, India could be seen hanging onto a bull as it bucked around a dirt arena. Alongside the competition footage, Chris shared a lighthearted exchange with India before her ride.

His followers, however, had different reactions to the videos. One user wrote, “The poor bull. Animal abuse should not be entertainment.” Another user wrote, “Is this the ‘wonderful’ tradition where they tie the bull's balls with a rope and every time they kick in the air, they pull on them harder? I really hope not.”

A third user wrote, “Please do not promote this.” Another user wrote, “Shouldn't you be worrying about defeating Doctor Doom?”

About Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth married Spanish actress and model Elsa Pataky in December 2010, after they began dating earlier that year. Their relationship developed quickly, and they have now been together for more than 15 years. The couple have three children: their daughter, India Rose, born in 2012, and twin sons, Sasha and Tristan, born in 2014. India Rose is the eldest of the Hemsworth children and has occasionally appeared alongside her father in films, including ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’. Hemsworth has spoken warmly about fatherhood, saying that having children changed his priorities and made him value time at home even more.

Workwise, with his next outing in Avengers: Doomsday on the horizon, he has confirmed his time as Thor is not quite over yet. Apart from this, Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba and Golshifteh Farahani are returning for Extraction 3, promising a thrilling ride as the team embarks on another dangerous mission.

The story follows struggling writer Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson), who is hired by Jeremy Crawford (Josh Hartnett) to complete the books of his wife, bestselling author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway), after an accident leaves her unable to write. Lowen heads to the family’s isolated Vermont home to go through Verity’s notes and soon discovers a disturbing unfinished autobiography. What she reads forces her to question everything she knows about the Crawford family, while her growing closeness to Jeremy makes it even harder to separate truth from manipulation.

Johnson, unfortunately, doesn’t quite sell Lowen’s psychological unravelling. There are moments when she appears to be slipping into Verity’s persona, but the film doesn’t show enough of what is happening inside her head to make that transformation genuinely disturbing. Instead, it feels almost like a switch being flipped. Johnson also seems unable to completely escape the Fifty Shades blueprint, with several scenes relying more on sensuality than on the character’s emotional turmoil. Hartnett, meanwhile, doesn’t entirely feel like the Jeremy the story needs. Anne Hathaway, even while confined to a wheelchair for much of the film, manages to create far more intrigue than the rest of the cast.

The biggest problem is that Verity forgets what makes the source material so unsettling. The book makes you sit with its questions, second-guess what you have read and wonder whether you can trust anyone. The film, on the other hand, spends surprisingly more time on sexual tension than psychological tension. The sensual scenes aren’t inherently a problem, but here they often feel like they are taking space that could have been used to build suspense. Even the moments involving Lowen unconsciously echoing Verity needed more psychological depth to make them land.

And then comes the ending, which is perhaps the film’s biggest letdown. Without giving anything away, the final stretch lacks the chill that made the book so difficult to shake off. If you finished Hoover’s novel and spent hours wondering what was real, what wasn’t and what exactly you had just read, don’t expect the movie to leave you with the same existential hangover. It unravels pretty much everything.

There are a few fun extras for pop-culture watchers, though. Keep an eye out for a cameo by Colleen Hoover, along with the Call Her Daddy podcast and Hot Ones talk show. Verity has the makings of a deliciously twisted thriller, but it plays its cards without creating enough dread. If the book got into your head, the movie barely scratches the surface.

With summer vacation around the corner, Nobita and his friends are stuck deciding whether they should head to the mountains or the beach. Naturally, they turn to Doraemon for a solution. And because this is Doraemon, the answer is not to choose one; it is to somehow do both. Their adventure takes them deep beneath the sea, where they encounter fascinating marine creatures, explore the underwater world and find themselves dealing with one problem after another before eventually facing the mysterious undersea devil.

The film is not content with being a simple underwater adventure. Along the way, it packs in science, technology and even ideas around artificial intelligence. Children have plenty to learn, with the film turning parts of the adventure into an entertaining science lesson.

For an adult viewer whose childhood favourite was the classic Doraemon, though, some of this can feel a little too intellectual for what you might expect from a breezy Doraemon holiday adventure. At times, you may find yourself thinking, okay, Doraemon, I just came here for the nostalgia.

The biggest charm remains the gang itself. Nobita's constant troublemaking, Doraemon's gadgets, Shizuka's patience, Gian's confidence and Suneo's antics are familiar territory, but that's precisely why they work. You don't need much introduction to these characters; seeing them together is enough to bring back memories.

The underwater setting also gives the film plenty of scope visually. The different sea creatures, the environments and the new friends they make along the way make the adventure feel bigger, while the fantasy elements add the kind of larger-than-life fun that fits the Doraemon universe. The only real drawback is that the film occasionally feels like it is trying to teach you more than it is trying to entertain you.

Still, Doraemon: New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil remains a pleasant trip down memory lane. It may be slightly more brainy than expected, but the nostalgia, familiar characters and underwater adventure make it an easy watch for children and a sweet reminder of simpler summer vacations for anyone who grew up with Doraemon.

The post comes nearly a month after Tallulah shared an update on her father’s health. According to PEOPLE magazine, Bruce’s family announced in 2022 that he had been diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that affects speech and language. In 2023, the family confirmed that he had frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

Speaking about her father’s health at the end of August, Tallulah said that his condition had remained the same since her last update, which she was told was a good sign. “Whatever kind of day it is, my family and I meet him where he’s at,” she said.

Tallulah also told PEOPLE that spending time with her father and visiting him has become part of her routine. She said she makes sure to be emotionally prepared before each visit so she can be fully present with him. “I’ve done what I need to do to make sure that I can just be present,” she added. Bruce also attended Tallulah’s wedding to Justin Acee on August 8.

The couple’s wedding pictures, shared by Vogue on Instagram, included a black-and-white photograph of Bruce smiling with his arm around his daughter as she leaned towards him.

Acee was seen holding Bruce’s other hand. Tallulah has also spoken openly about her father’s health over the years. In a 2024 interview with PEOPLE, she spoke about the difficult days while also sharing how much love the family continues to have for him.

“It’s hard. There’s painful days but there’s so much love,” she said. “And it’s really shown me to not take any moment for granted and I really do think that we’d be best friends. I think he’s very proud of me,” Tallulah added.

Bruce shares daughters Rumer and Scout with former wife Demi Moore. He is also father to Mabel and Evelyn with his wife Emma Heming Willis.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, speaking at 92NY on Monday while promoting his new memoir 'The Steps', Stallone said he was “kind of mixed” about the project because, as he put it, “I’m not dead yet. Aren’t we jumping the gun a little bit?” The film, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month, follows the making of 'Rocky' and features Anthony Ippolito as a young Stallone, depicting the actor as he develops and pushes the film through a tumultuous production. Stallone said his reaction changed after seeing Ippolito’s performance.

“I actually thought it was me the first moment; there were a couple of angles. I go to my daughter and say, ‘That’s unbelievable,'” he recalled. The actor also stressed that he was not involved in the production, directed by Peter Farrelly. “I said, ‘I’ll just sit back and watch.’ I talked to the kid. I said, ‘If you want any questions, here I am,’ and that was it. But they did it all on their own,” Stallone said. He also joked about seeing his mannerisms recreated on screen, saying, “I go, ‘Do I talk like that?’ Now I get it. Now I get it.”

During the conversation, Stallone also discussed his complicated feelings about watching the Rocky films today. “It’s like you look at a photo of yourself, everyone else likes it, but you go [growl],” he said. Stallone revealed that he is trying to get Amazon to allow him to recut 1990’s Rocky V, which he described as “a thorn in my side.”

“It bothers me to death because I know I took my foot off the gas,” he said, adding that he should have directed the film himself and “I should have been more aware of not trying to be cool to the audience.” If he gets the opportunity to recut the film, Stallone joked, “It’s not going to be great. It’ll be acceptable.” Asked by moderator Tracy Smith of CBS Sunday Morning whether he could reach the top of Hollywood if he were starting his career today, Stallone said the industry had changed significantly.

“It’s a whole different ideology out there… I don’t think so. It’s a whole different mindset,” he said, as cited by The Hollywood Reporter. Stallone also argued that the cultural context surrounding older films made them difficult to reproduce today, citing The Godfather as an example. “For example, if you were going to make The Godfather today, try casting it. Impossible,” he said, adding, “The whole premise it just came at a certain time, and that’s why it makes it so unique.” He added that remakes can overlook the social and cultural circumstances in which the original films were made.
