Fintech startup SlayPay is news again. Known for making "cool" customizable payment cards, they have now launched a campaign against debit cards titled #SlayTheDebit. The Gurgaon based company has already grabbed eyeballs for its upcoming card that users can design themselves using the SlayPay App. The campaign advises users against using debit cards while highlighting their security risks and lack of rewards on majority offerings.

Founder & CEO Sidhant Ryan Malhotra explains, "Debit cards are gateways to your bank accounts and it isn't very prudent to put your whole bank account at risk each time you buy things like milk or bread! Most of them come with sensitive details like card number & CVV printed on it - what if someone with malicious intent steals or snaps it?

Compare this to SlayPay cards where you can load the spending amount you need and use it like a regular payment card on all card terminals, websites and even ATMs! The physical card is numberless and you can put any image or design you want on it."

Amarpreet Singh, Co-Founder & COO further mocks the lack of rewards offered on debit card payments. "Unlike credit cards, debit cards reward you for saving and not spending. We have partnered with 1000+ top brands to ensure the SlayPay users can get all spending benefits even without credit! So you spend like a debit card & earn like a credit card."

With millions of card details being stolen and shared on the dark web, it seems security is the next big trend in fintech for times to come. With its cool numberless card and other security features, SlayPay seems to already be ahead of the curve.
