Mumbai witnessed large celebrations of Eid al-Adha, also known as Bakri Eid, as thousands of devotees gathered at mosques to offer prayers

As part of the celebrations, many families performed Qurbani, the ritual sacrifice of animals, while also distributing meat and food among relatives, neighbours
Areas including Mohammed Ali Road, Bandra, Kurla and Mira Road witnessed festive crowds and heightened security ahead of the occasion
Authorities deployed police personnel in sensitive areas to maintain law and order during the celebrations
