Pillars of Thane building develop cracks

The Sainath Kripa Society in Thane has developed major cracks in the pillars, an official said
The incident was reported at around 11:04 hrs through an alert received by the Disaster Management Cell in Thane
The precarious condition of the building which is a ground plus 7 storey building was reported to the Regional Disaster Management Cell, the officials said
The structural damage also led to falling of plaster at various locations within the building, the official said
No injuries have been reported so far. The residents were evacuated or managed to safely exit the premises, the official said
