Make a floating diya
1 PM: Want to jazz up your home with different kinds of diyas? Join crafts teacher Hiral Desai, who will teach you how to make floating diyas using foam sheet, kundan and candle.

Go on a vada pav binge

16 Monday Poetic start to the week 

8 pm - 11 PM: If you fancy yourself as a master of the verses, this is where you can get yourself heard. And, meet more who share your passion. 17 Tuesday An evening with the waves 

4 PM to 6 pm: For a quick escape from the island city, an evening of sailing sounds like an ideal option. The starting point is near Taj Mahal Hotel, Colaba. A motorboat takes you to the sailboat. Remember to carry a windcheater, ID proofs, enough water, a change of clothes (if required) and medicine for sea sickness.

18 Wednesday Attend an album launch 

9 am onwards: Impulsive Decisions is an eight-track album by Kush Upadhyay featuring Andrew Kanga on drums, Sheldon Dsilva on bass, Anurag Naidu on keys and Kush on guitar. They are a progressive blues/rock-based instrumental outfit headlined by Kush who has performed at several festivals including Mahindra Blues.

19 Thursday Sample a flavour of 'loose jokes' 

8.30 PM: Witness comedian Karunesh Talwar try out some of his “loose jokes” before he files them away for posterity. This gig, which is part of his all-India tour, will bring to the fore some of his strangest rants, riffs and observations, to mark his seventh year in stand-up comedy. This session promises 60 minutes of total insanity.

20 Friday Bite into a grand brunch spread

Binge on two Diwali specials — the Saffron Truffle Mocha and the roasted nut triple delight cake. Go on a quilling spree
If you've had enough of diyas, turn to paper to fashion out pretty birds, flowers, showpieces and even jewellery from this quilling workshop. Instead of using a readymade kit, you'll learn this ancient art from scratch, that involves cutting strips of paper required for quilling, coiling them and sticking the pieces together in the shape of an object. Here's your chance to dress your house up with these little DIY wonders, which you get to take home from the session.
