Days after an American woman was assaulted with a blade in a local at Grant Road, a 28-year-old woman was stabbed with a knife by an unknown man at around 7.45 pm yesterday at Goregaon railway station.u00a0



According to sources, Rupali Shinde, a Nalasopara resident, was trying to board the women’s coach of a local from Goregaon when the assault took place.
Stunned, the other women in the compartment pulled her in to save her from the stabs of the assailant.


Once inside, they tried to control the bleeding but saw that it was severe. They immediately took her to the Borivli Government Railway Police.

Shinde, who has suffered injuries to her head, has now been admitted to a hospital in Nalasopara.

A case has been registered against the unknown person by Borivli GRP.

According to the railway police, Shinde, who works in Goregaon, was on her way home when the attack happened. u00a0
