6 killed in road mishaps on Yamuna Expressway

Mathura: Six persons were killed and three others injured in separate road accidents on Yamuna Expressway here, police said today.


Four occupants of a car were killed on the spot late last night under Surir police station area when the driver lost control and the vehicle landed on the other side of the road where it collided with another car, they said.


One of the deceased was identified as Vigyanshu (30), a resident of Laxmi Nagar in Delhi, DySP Rajesh Sonkar said.


Three persons travelling in the other car also received injuries in the mishap, they said.

In another incident, two persons enroute to Agra were killed around 7.30 AM after their car rammed into a truck parked on the roadside near village Chandpur Khurd under Naujheel police station area, they said.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, they said. Efforts are on to identify the victims, police said.
