Allahabad: A seven-year-old girl was stabbed to death three weeks after being raped by her 14-year-old neighbour, with the victim’s family blaming the relatives of the accused for the murder.

The incident took place on Wednesday night, SP Rajesh Srivastava said.
The girl was abducted while she was sleeping with her mother. The police soon rushed to the spot and the girl’s body was recovered from a field with injury marks.
She was earlier this month raped by the boy in her neighbourhood and an FIR was registered following a complaint by her mother after which the accused was arrested and sent to a juvenile home.
