80-yr-old German national injured after biker hits him

An 80-year-old German national was injured in an accident near the RTO building, after a two-wheeler hit him from behind while he was walking down the road at around 12.30 pm on Wednesday

The bike rider, identified as Devidas Kamble (37), a resident of Tadiwala Road, has been arrested by the Bund Garden police.


The victim, who is staying at the Osho Ashram in Koregaon Park, is known by the name Randheer Swami Prem. According to the police, Kamble was going from the RTO to Jehangir Hospital, and Randheer was also walking in the same direction.


Kamble lost control of his vehicle and hit Randheer. The victim was taken to Jehangir Hospital. He is still unconscious. “We have lodged an FIR against Kamble under section 279 (rash driving) and 338 (causing grievous hurt) of the IPC,” said a police official.
