The RWITC hosted its first classic raceu00a0-- The Giantti by Gitanjali Lifestyle Indian 1000 Guineas on Sunday. A day for the fillies, Dr Vijay Mallya's Siachen raced to victory. Vivek Jain, chairman, RWITC, and Mehul Choksi, chairman, Gitanjali Lifestyle, were accompanied by actress Shazahn Padamsee for the presentation of the glittering gold trophy.
Karisma Kapur made a surprise appearance with Chunkey Pandey, as guests of Jaspal Enterprises' Kishore Dhingra. An enrapt Karisma revealed that she'd come to see the race after a long time and was impressed with the ambience. The cool afternoon affair ended with a glamorous fashion show by designer Lina Tipnis.
