Yuva Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray today met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to draw his attention to 'the lack of security' at Juhu aerodrome in Mumbai.

"Met Fadnavisji to discuss two major issues- lack of security at the Juhu aerodrome and the proposed Mumbai Garden at Race Course," the son of Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray said.

He discussed the old demand to develop the Mahalaxmi Racecourse into a garden for the city and construction of the racecourse on the outskirts. Currently, the racecourse's lease is over and a decision is awaited from the state government about the Sena-proposed theme park on the open space.

"We need to have CISF protect such a sensitive Aerodrome at Juhu," he said.

"The CM has agreed to act upon my request. Juhu Aerodrome urgently needs CISF cover to avoid attack through that installation," Aaditya said.

He also demanded that the upkeep of the Western Express Highway be handed over to the BMC completely.

Thackeray also discussed the issue of handing over the arterial Western Express Highway to the BMC. In his tweet Aaditya posted, "I also asked the @CMOMaharashtra to take a decision to hand over the Western Express Highway to a single authority, the BMC, for maintenance.the WEH has diff areas of jurisdictions of the NHAI, PWD, MSRDC, MMRDA etc while theres no coordination on maintenance and repair."

He tweeted, "WEH being handled and maintained by a single authority, publicly elected, would help make it more transparent, fix responsibility for it."
