New Delhi: Several Bollywood stars graced the inaugural International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) with their presence and even tried their hand at the sport in the august company of superstars Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Sania Mirza.

After Manila Mavericks defeated Singapore Slammers 23-17 in the first tie of the concluding day of the India leg of the inaugural tournament, a host of movie stars led by Aamir Khan and Deepika Padukone made their way on to the court to a rapturous ovation from a thrilled crowd.


Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Sunil Gavaskar were also present. The cine stars were seen taking up the racquet and engaging in a friendly hit-out with Federer, Djokovic and Mirza that served as an entertaining warm-up session ahead of the Indian Aces vs UAE Royals match.

Aamir, clad in a grey T-shirt and with his wife and son in tow, was the first among the actors to enter the court, hitting with partner Federer against Djokovic and Mirza.

Deepika, with her father badminton great Prakash Padukone in the stands, was the next in. Clad in an all black ensemble, she partnered Deshmukh to engage in some fun-hitting. Gavaskar and Akshay also took part in enthralling the audience.

Amitabh Bachchan watched Sunday's action when Roger Federer made his debut for Indian Aces.
