However, by the time he was through with the post-release and success celebrations of Jaane Tu... Yaa Jaane Naa, he learnt that the title had already been registered by another director.

An insider at Aamir Khan's production house reveals that seeing the popularity of the song from his nephew Imran Khan's debut, the actor-filmmaker decided to make a musical called Pappu Can't Dance Saala. "The song had really caught on in the initial promotions.

And that's when Aamir came up with the idea of making a movie with Salman, titled Pappu Can't Dance Saala," recalls our source, adding that since they were preoccupied with the launch for Imran, Aamir opted to wait a while after the film's release, before figuring out the concept for Salman.

JTYJN went on to become a big hit, catapulting Imran to instant stardom. However, a few months down the line, when Aamir thought of revisiting his idea of the film with Salman, he learnt it was a little too late in the day.

"One day, while discussing with his team, Aamir brought up the idea of making a film called Pappu Can't Dance Saala with Salman.

That's when someone pointed out to him that the title had already been registered and Saurabh Shukla was making a rom-com with Vinay Pathak and Neha Dhupia," says our source. He adds that on hearing this, Aamir aborted his plans of making the musical.
