Around 3.30 pm, relatives of Raj Balasubramanian rolled him into Rajawadi Hospital, Ghatkopar, after he met with a road accident. The teen was rushed to the hospital after a bus at 90 Feet Road hit him in the afternoon. Dr Kashinath Jadhav, who was on duty, declared Balasubramanian dead on arrival, after he succumbed to multiple injuries.

On hearing the news, three to four relatives of the deceased patient attacked him and ransacked the hospital. A doctor from the hospital said, “The relatives first grabbed the blood pressure machine and attacked the doctor with it. They then tore file papers and shattered the glass on the doors.

When the situation started getting out of hand, the security officials alerted the police.” While the kin of the deceased are now in police custody, Dr Kashinath Jadhav was being treated after he sustained minor injuries to his forehead. Authorities from the Tilak Nagar police station said that no arrests had been made yet, but an FIR had been filed against the relatives.
