Afghan man kills wife for 'seeking job outside home'
An Afghan man stabbed his wife to death as he was against her taking up a job.
A man in western Afghanistan has admitted to stabbing his wife to death for taking a job outside home.
According to Herat province police spokesperson Noor Khan Nekzad, Mohammad Anwar was arrested in the provincial capital for the murder.
Anwar has said he killed his wife Ghulam during an argument on Friday over whether she should work for a private company in the city, reports said.
The woman's relatives, however, claim that Anwar was a drug addict, who killed his wife because she didn't give him money.
