After mauling England by 95 runs in the fifth and last ODI of the series for a 5-0 whitewash, a beaming Indian skipper M.S. Dhoni Tuesday wished 'Happy Diwali' to his countrymen.

"I extend my best wishes to everyone for Diwali," Dhoni said in the media conference after the Eden Gardens outing here.

Dhoni said he would go to Ranchi for a day to spend Diwali with his family. "Now is the time for fireworks," he said.

The Indian team has been given a day's holiday for Diwali.

The players would leave for their home Wednesday morning and return here Thursday evening for the Oct 29 Twenty20 outing against England.
