Aggressive Natasha beats Nikita

Sixth seeded Natasha Palha from Goa moved fast and played so aggressively against Nikita Deshmukh that forced the latter to concede the tie after Natasha won the first set 6-0 and led 4-0 in the second to enter the pre-quarterfinals of the of the USD 15,000 CCI- ITF Women's tennis tournament yesterday.

Natasha had finished runners-up to Gujarat’s Ankita Raina in the last Nationals played at Kolkata.

And to top it all she had won the women’s doubles title with Treta Bhattacharya as her partner.

They pair had upset fancied former Olympian Rushmi Chakravarthi and Ankita Raina. “That has been my best performance so far at the national level,” said Natasha.
