Benaras Hindu University (BHU) will soon construct a helipad to meet the demand of emergency patients.


VC Lalji Singh of the 96-year-old Benaras Hindu University aims to
improve its facilities so as to obtain an AIIMS status for its hospital


Speaking at press conference, BHU Vice Chancellor Lalji Singh said that the helicopter air ambulance would be available for the Trauma Centre within the premises of the 1,300-acre University.

With an aim to improve the scientific environment, maintain international standards and to attract international faculty, he said emphasis would be on promoting predictive and preventive medicine with emphasis in the field of DNA based therapy and diagnostic services.
