Apparently when the actor accompanied by Asin visited a college festival to promote their latest film Khiladi 786, the latter was almost mobbed by a crowd of young boys and girls.

A source informs, “The event was to celebrate the success of the film’s music and that’s why a venue of an open ground was chosen. The entry was also open and free for everyone and since Akshay was happy with the way the music of the film was received, he wanted to celebrate it with the crowd.”

A crowd of almost 4,000 girls and boys apparently thronged the venue. And a very big group of youngsters followed Asin backstage and the situation got too much to handle. The source adds, “Asin was caught unaware and the mob came too close for her comfort.”

The bouncers there too were told to take a stock of the situation. However, luckily Akshay sprung into action and came to Asin’s aid.

The film’s creative producer Rakesh Upadhyay says, “Akshay is always careful that neither the crowd nor his co-actors should be subjected to any kind of misbehaviour. He made sure that Asin was safe and even escorted her to her car.” u00a0
