Akshay Kumar's 'PadMan' co-actress Sonam Kapoor has made a funny revelation about the actor. Sonam, who has been friends with Akshay and his wife Twinkle Khanna divulged that he is very scared of his wife. The jovial nature that Sonam Kapoor has, she gave out this endearing secret to Deccan Chronicle while talking about her upcoming film 'PadMan' with Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte. She said, "Akshay Tina (Twinkle) se bahut darte hain (Akshay is very scared of Tina)!"
Further speaking about her film, she narrated her experience working with Twinkle, who is also the producer of the film. She said, "Actually, I've known Tina for many years. During my interactions with R. Balki (director), Tina would never interfere. There's an etiquette we follow on the sets. He's the captain of the ship and has to take a call. And this is what Tina follows too."
Sonam Kapoor will be seen in 'PadMan'.
The actress has a very progressive mindset which she has inherited from her family. "At home, us girls aren't treated any differently than the boys. In fact, after Rhea and me, dad wished to have another girl child when Harshvardhan was expected. Dad was so happy when Rhea was born. We would all get a pocket money of `500, including Harsh. And since I was the oldest kid, I got a whole room to myself, while Rhea and Harsh had to share one," shared the National award-winning actress.
Speaking of Sonam's younger sister, Rhea Kapoor, she is the creative mind behind the former's style and glamour, and clearly Sonam is in complete awe of Rhea. "I have a great bond with her. She takes care of my style statement and works tirelessly to give me the best-designed clothes," she gushes."
'PadMan' is a film about menstrual hygiene and while talking to the daily, the 'Neerja' actress also disclosed when she got her first period. It was at the age of 15 and Sonam thought it was too late, which would bother her. "I would always feel something was wrong with me. I would cry and ask my mom why I hadn't started my period. But she would console me and tell me sometimes girls get it late. But I was so happy and relieved when I did get it," concluded Sonam.
