Alert sounded in Mumbai after twin blasts in Hyderabad

Soon after news broke of blasts rocking Hyderabad city, the Mumbai police sounded an alert and all police stations were asked to deploy personnel on the roads to keep an eye out for suspicious activity, objects and vehicles

u00a0“We have beefed up the security cover in the city,” said Mumbai police spokesperson, DCP Crime Branch, Satyanarayan Choudhary.

Staff of all police stations has been asked to be on the roads and be vigilant, and also to check slums. The GRP and RPF in the city also will be keeping a tight vigil at railway stations and on trains for any suspicious objects. The people have also been requested to inform the authorities immediately if they spot any suspicious activity or objects.
