They say dogs are a man's best friend but in the case of Alexis Sanchez, it seems that his dogs are Man United's best friend. Less than 48 hours after the Arsenal star signed up for a record GBP 490,000-per week deal with Manchester United and was handed his jersey, his dogs — golden retrievers Atom and Humber, also wore the Red Devils jerseys and posed for photographs, it is learnt. They reportedly wore their master's jersey number on the back of their shirts.

Sanchez's dogs are pretty famous with Arsenal fans as he regularly posted their pictures on social media. Interestingly, there's a story behind how the canines got their names. Atom is the name of the lead character in the film Real Steel — one of Sanchez's all-time favourite movies. And the sweet-natured Humber, it is learnt, reminds Sanchez of his brother Humberto.
