However, very little is known about Vikander's character in the upcoming film but she has dropped some tiny hints as to what we can expect from her role.

"I'm not doing the conventional action, but I'm very action-driven in this film. But it's not in the way most people would think," Vikander told entertainement news portal The Wrap, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Filming is still underway on the already hugely anticipated film, which will be hitting the big screen this summer.

Vikander is not the only new face on the cast list as Tommy Lee Jones, Vincent Cassel, and Riz Ahmed are also on board. Julia Stiles will reunite with Matt Damon as she returns to the role of Nicky.

2016 has already been a busy year for Vikander as she returned to the big screen with "The Danish Girl", for which she has received a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination.

This is the first Oscar nomination of Vikander's career and sees her nominated alongside Kate Winslet, Rooney Mara, Rachel McAdams, and Jennifer Jason Leigh for Steve Jobs, Carol, Spotlight, and The Hateful Eight.

She has also completed work on "Tulip fever" and "The Light Between Oceans", which will be released this year.
