American skiing champ Lindsey Vonn has broken her arm after crashing during training in Colorado and underwent surgery. However, the broken bones haven't diminished her spirit.

Vonn revealed on Facebook that the incident happened on Copper Mountain on Thursday, and that she had to undergo surgery the same night in night in Vail. She posted a picture of the X-ray of her right arm on her social media accounts.

"I will work my hardest to be back on the slopes as soon as I can, as I always do. Thanks for all of your continued support. #NeverGiveUp," the 32-year-old wrote on her Instagram account with many of her followers saluting her positive attitude.

Over the years, Vonn has been through a host of injuries. She hurt her knee during training leading to her having to miss two races at the 2007 World Cup. She also raced at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics despite a badly bruised shin. She went on to win gold in the downhill event.

However, four years later at the Sochi Games, she was unable to defend her title due to a serious knee injury. "At least my knees are OK this time," she said on a lighter note.
