British boxer Amir Khan has admitted that time he spent in the jungle away from family has made him closer to them. Khan, who was recently voted out of the I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here, also revealed the reason why he didn't split from wife Faryal Makhdoom, despite months of public spats and family feuds.

"We didn't go through with the divorce because it's banned in Islam when a girl is pregnant. I've learned my lesson. It was a wake-up call for us both and it will only make us stronger. I think we will be married forever," he told British tabloid, The Sun.Despite his comments, there is a possibility that he could divorce her after the baby is born next year, but Khan insists that may not be the case. "Family-wise being in the jungle has made me realise how important they are to me. I definitely have more appreciation for my little girl and my wife Faryal, because I wasn't around them. I was so far away. I missed them like crazy," he added.
