Another scandal hits archery camp
Archery is in the news for the wrong reasons again.
Last month, a woman archer — Pratima Boro — committed suicide in a camp. Now, at the same national camp, two archers got suspended after being caught in a compromising position.
According to PTI, Pawan Xalxo and Gunjan Kumari were found in a compromising position in the hostel on June 1, according to a camper.
“They were immediately given marching orders as per the rules of the Army. They were close to each other but on Saturday (June 1), they crossed their limits,” a source told the news agency.
Archery Association of India assistant secretary Gunjan Abrol told PTI: “They have been given seven days’ notice to explain. No probe is required as there were eye witnesses to the incident.”
