Arjan Bajwa on his fascination for bikes

“For a song picturisation I rode about 45 kms through the dusty roads and dangerously congested highways in Uttar Pradesh.u00a0The actor states that his fascination for bikes began since his childhood days. “I always had two to three bikes at home. So I learnt how to ride at a very young age.

“I must have been about 13 years old when I learnt to ride a scooter and a bike. I knew how to handle it but was just waiting to grow tall enough so my feet could touch the ground.”

Bajwa considers himself to be an automobile enthusiast. “Whether cars or bikes, I love them all. I remember as a kid I would sit inside our brand new Maruti van doing school home work, eating meals and getting scolded by my dad.”

Bikes also gave him a high due to the all the trappings that went along with it. “I liked getting ready like a dirt biker wearing a big helmet and a skijacket to feel all cool and ride through the ditches at a ground nearby.”

Long ride
The actor also has some fond memories of his biking days. “I used to attend college on my cousin’s bike I had also done an impromptu trip from hometown Delhi to Agra with my cousin which I rode non stop. I must have been 15 years old and with no driving licence but it was fun.”

He uses his bikes in Mumbai “as it’s easier to reach your destination considering the traffic situation. But if you want to enjoy biking, you should do it late in the night; when roads are empty.”u00a0
