Body of an army jawan was found on railway tracks near Ambeta village in Shamli district after he allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a train, police said today

Muzaffarnagar: Body of an army jawan was found on railway tracks near Ambeta village in Shamli district after he allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a train, police said today.


30-year-old Somender took the extreme step under Bhawan police station. His body was found yesterday on the railway
tracks situated near the village, they said.


The Army personal was posted in Ambala and had come to his village Choura on vacation, police said.


The body has been sent for postmortem and investigation is underway, they said.
